Features of zirconium prosthetics
Dental restoration with zirconium implants is not fundamentally different from prosthetics with metal implants. Only the material of the artificial root differs.
Zirconium oxide or dioxide are transparent, colorless crystals of special strength, biocompatible with the tissues of the human body. The implants themselves are free from the main minor drawback of titanium – their potential intolerance by some patients.
Installation is carried out in a classic way, including cutting the gums, forming a bone bed, screwing the pin into the bone and suturing the tissue. The entire procedure takes place under anesthesia, using high-precision computer equipment, and is absolutely painless.
During subsequent prosthetics, the patient is fitted with zirconium or ceramic crowns.
Implants for cruroplasty
Surgeons at the UMG center use high-quality implants for lower leg replacement from the best manufacturers, such as Eurosilicone, Sebbin, Nagor, Mentor. Such implants consist of a durable silicone shell and a special non-flowing gel. It is almost impossible to damage the integrity of the shell - this is confirmed by numerous experiments. Eurosilicone range of breast implants
The line of products that it produces is striking in its diversity. The most extensive range of products is used for correction of female breasts - breast implants. This group, called “Paragel”, is represented by both traditional round endoprostheses and implants that have an anatomical, drop-shaped shape.
Paragel is a technology for the production of a multilayer multifunctional shell that ensures the reliability of the implant. The filler of the implants is silicone gel. They can have either a smooth or textured multi-layer shell. Thanks to the proprietary barrier layer of endoprostheses, called “Nusil”, whose thickness is on average 450 microns, the implant is reliably protected from mechanical damage and prevents the penetration of cohesive (high-viscosity) gel outside the shell in the event of endoprosthesis rupture.
Breast implants (Sculpturale series and Cristalline series) are produced in a round shape with a textured surface designed to ensure good engraftment of the endoprosthesis to the surrounding tissues. An impermeable liner located under the outer shell of the implant of these series prevents the filler from leaking outside the implant.
Several profile options for these endoprostheses are available: low, medium, high and ultra-high. For the convenience of patients, there are 139 configurations of round breast prostheses, which vary depending on the size of the implant volume. With the help of traditional round implants, two most important tasks of aesthetic surgery can be solved at once: cosmetic breast augmentation and, if necessary, reconstruction of the mammary gland (if there is no breast after removal).
Anatomical implants "Eurosilicone"
A new modern trend is Paragel breast implants of a drop-shaped (anatomical) shape. Three branded series of these endoprostheses are produced: “Komuro”, “Vertex”, “Aptex”.
In addition to the fact that these implants have a natural anatomical shape, each series has specific features. Implants of the Vertex series are ideal for patients with a high probability of displacement of the endoprosthesis, which may be due to the individual constitutional structure of the woman’s breast. To prevent this complication, the Vertex series implants have an additional plate, which the surgeon sews to the muscles, thereby ensuring reliable fixation of the implant in the patient’s body.
Anatomically shaped implants of the Komuro series are technologically advanced products, the main purpose of which is to make the operation as easy as possible. These endoprostheses are produced with a low profile, which allows their placement through a gentle endoscopic incision in the armpits. Thanks to this, the woman experiences minimal inconvenience and minimizes trauma. Therefore, this method of installing breast implants is considered the most preferable for young patients.
Line "Matica"
The latest innovation from Eurosilicone is the Matrix line, which comes in 90 different variants and 9 possible profiles.
The filler of all these implants is cohesive silicone gel with varying degrees of viscosity, so patients have a wide choice of elasticity and softness of the future bust.
Saline implants
Along with endoprostheses with gel filler, it produces breast implants filled with saline solution. There is an opinion among some patients that implants of this type are safer and more physiological, despite the fact that these products are quite likely to feel the filler flowing during movements or deformations of the breast. However, it has developed a high-tech coating of the shell and ensures maximum filling of the entire volume of the endoprosthesis, which reduces this likelihood to a minimum.
These implants are available in two versions: round and anatomical, “Inflatable” and “Cristalline Inflatable”. To fill these products, a special probe is used, attached to the implant, through a special valve of which the endoprosthesis filler is introduced directly during the operation.
How is the operation performed?
- At the initial consultation, the surgeon and the patient discuss the action plan and determine the shape and size of the implants. The surgeon prescribes a standard list of examinations to the patient;
- On the day of surgery, twenty minutes before the start of the surgical procedure, special markings are applied to the skin of the legs. Before the operation, the legs must be photographed;
- The operation is performed under general anesthesia and takes about two hours. The surgeon makes approximately 3 cm incisions in the popliteal area. Through them, the implant is placed into the formed bed. Before suturing, the surgeon checks the symmetry of the location of the implants on both sides. The seams are covered with a sterile bandage, and compression garments are put on the legs.
