We live in amazing times. The Internet, on the one hand, is a place where you can find practically any information; in addition, there are microblogs in which opinion leaders share their recommendations and encourage people to buy this or that product. Finally, there is a global e-commerce market where you can order lipstick from the other side of the world with just one click.
However, there is a downside to all these amazing technological advances. Experts have noticed a dangerous trend - the black market for beauty products is growing exponentially.
Despite warnings from Roszdravnadzor that the safety of medical products, including implantable ones (fillers, mesothreads), as well as drugs for performing injection cosmetic procedures (Botox, mesotherapy and other “beauty injections”), must be confirmed by a registration certificate, some all they decide to save on their health. More and more people prefer to have beauty injections not in the offices of certified cosmetologists, but at home. The trend of people buying injectables online and injecting themselves isn't new, but it's picking up steam this year, says Hollywood dermatologist Nancy Samolitis.
She explains this by saying that in online stores you can find counterfeit fillers to suit every taste (and budget), and video tutorials on YouTube or on social networks will tell you how to handle this or that drug.
One of the best dermatologists in New York, Dhaval Bhanusali, warns: I'm not sure how legal it is, but injections in one's own kitchen are being done more and more often, which is terrible from the point of view of the safety of such handmade procedures. Del Campo confirms that the filler can be purchased on Amazon: Over the past few weeks, I've gotten four calls from four girls who purchased injectable filler online. They bought it on Amazon: without documents, without a pharmaceutical license. The selected product was delivered in two days! Usually on sites where such products are advertised, there are descriptions of the product and even positive reviews. Some fillers can be produced under all well-known brand names, for example, Juvéderm or Restylane; the average person is unlikely to distinguish them from the original. According to the expert, the average price for a syringe with such a drug is no more than one hundred dollars. Most of them are illegally imported from Asia and Eastern Europe.
Representatives of Galderma (manufacturer of Restylane) and Allergan (manufacturer of Juvéderm) are aware of the existing problem.
Both companies confirmed that they sell their products directly only to licensed professionals, including dermatologists, plastic surgeons and physicians. In other words, any injectables you see online are most definitely not being sold directly from the manufacturer. Does this mean they are fakes? Maybe yes, maybe no. In any case, risking your beauty and health is not the best option.
Administration technique
It may seem obvious, but attempting to inject yourself with any kind of filler—even if it's licensed and purchased directly from the manufacturer—is an incredibly dangerous undertaking for many reasons. YouTube videos and social media posts give the illusion that everything is quite easy and simple, but this is not the case.

You need to make sure that the institution has a license to provide medical care - the Unified Register of Licenses can be found in the public domain on the Roszdravnadzor website.
Secondly, procedures must be performed only at the address specified in the license.
Cosmetic injection therapy in domestic conditions, at home or in organizations that do not have the appropriate license is an illegal activity, Roszdravnadzor clarifies.
Thirdly, a cosmetologist must have professional retraining in the specialty “cosmetology”, having previously completed internship or residency in the specialty “dermatovenereology”. A medical organization is required to post information about the professional training of doctors on its official website.
Fourthly, all drugs must have a marketing authorization. You can check the registration of medical devices on the website of Roszdravnadzor, and drugs - in the State Register of Medicines of the Ministry of Health.

Structure of PLA (Polylactic acid)
AestheFill is a conceptually new filler, which contains globular (spherical) PLA particles (20% D-lactic acid monomers and 80% L-lactic acid).
