  • Removal of permanent makeup and tattoos

Safely removing a tattoo or low-quality permanent makeup, in compliance with sterility standards and accompanied by anesthesia, is possible only in a medical institution that has qualified personnel and modern equipment for this purpose. At the RAMI clinic, professional makeup and tattoo removal is carried out by certified cosmetologists with extensive experience in laser medicine, thanks to which hundreds of patients were able to get rid of patterns on the skin and improve their quality of life.

Efficient laser technology

Laser technology is considered the most effective and safe of all existing removal methods that give high-quality results. In our clinic, the procedure is performed using an innovative M22 laser device, on a Q-SWITCHED ND:YAG module.

The action of the neodymium beam is based on selective photothermolysis. The light beam passes through the upper layers of the epidermis and works at a depth of up to 2-3 millimeters - in the dermis, exactly where the pigment lies. The beam causes a thermal reaction, as a result of which the pigment is crushed and loosened, and also partially evaporates.

Thermal exposure causes aseptic inflammation in the skin and activates local skin immunity: cells of the immune system, including phagocytes, capture pigment particles and remove them through the lymph and blood flow. This process lasts on average 3–6 weeks, so the patient comes for subsequent sessions approximately once every 1–1.5 months.

Doctor's opinion

“The main advantage of laser removal is that it does not leave scars.
The skin consists of three layers - epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous fat. The epidermis is separated from the dermis by a basal plate, damage to which can lead to scar formation, and the pigment lies directly in the dermis. The neodymium beam allows you to reach the pigment without damaging the epidermis and bases of the plate.” Zakharova Ksenia Sergeevna, dermatocosmetologist, trichologist, specializing in laser removal for over 10 years.

How many sessions are needed?

The effectiveness of laser tattoo removal depends on many factors:

  • wavelength;
  • pulse duration;
  • pigment color (the easiest way to remove black dye);
  • the professionalism of the master and the quality of the technical base with which he works;
  • age and skin type.

Today, the standard for tattoo removal is the QS laser (Q-Switch). The model automatically selects the wavelength and impulse strength depending on the depth of the pigment, the intensity of the shading and color. However, even the most modern equipment does not allow tattoo removal in one session.

Immediately after crushing the pigment, the tattoo takes on a pale appearance. After 15-20 minutes, the dye appears again, losing intensity by only a few percent. Most often, 7-8 visits to a cosmetologist are required to completely remove a tattoo. The intervals between each session are about a month. Therefore, you need to prepare for the fact that the procedure will be protracted and costly.

Removing tattoos with a remover also occurs in several stages. When removing a tattoo, it may only take a couple of sessions. For more serious tattoos, you need 3-4 trips to the beauty salon. “Rest” between sessions lasts 25-30 days.

The method is considered one of the most effective. Unlike a laser, it copes with a wide range of colors, but has a significant drawback. The remover can be used on an area of skin not exceeding 5 cm in diameter.

Reviveink is also more suitable for tattooing. After injection of the drug, the tattoo begins to gradually lose brightness. The pigment fades from a month to a year.

What does a neodymium laser remove?

M22 easily copes with low-quality contour makeup of eyebrows and eyelids in black and brown colors.

The spread pigment on the arrows, which looks like smudged mascara, is removed in one session.

The laser helps eliminate the effect of red eyebrows. The fact is that over time, the brown tint on the eyebrows turns pink. However, setting the device to certain parameters “turns on” the property of color inversion - and the pigment changes shade just before your eyes. This way we maintain beautiful eyebrows for at least another 6-12 months. The procedure is painless and has no consequences.

In addition, tattoos that have lost their relevance are removed from the skin.

Contraindications

You need to start thinking with them. In some cases, it is better to remain with a pattern on the body than to treat numerous diseases later.

You need to start thinking with them. In some cases, it is better to remain with a pattern on the body than to treat numerous diseases later.

A tattoo cannot be removed if there are:

  1. skin injuries or diseases;
  2. infectious diseases;
  3. diseases of the cardiovascular system;
  4. cancer;
  5. asthma, epilepsy;
  6. mental illnesses;
  7. pregnancy.

During breastfeeding, it is also better to refrain from tattooing.

Progress of the procedure and rehabilitation

The laser removal procedure is quite painful, so it is performed under local anesthesia. As a rule, after laser removal no special rehabilitation is needed. Swelling, burning sensation, and redness may persist for some time, especially if your own bleached hairs were removed.

When removing arrows from the eyes, special screens are used - as a result, the patient receives severe swelling, so it is not recommended to go home or drive a car after the procedure. It’s better to stay at home for a day or two and wear sunglasses.

For two weeks after laser removal, you should not sunbathe or go to the sauna. The doctor will recommend a cream that will need to be used to treat the surface of the skin for better healing.

Skin care after tattoo removal

When you contact our clinic, you will receive a full range of cosmetic services, including personal recommendations from a skin care specialist after tattoo removal sessions. However, it would not be superfluous to present here some simple rules and safety measures in order to provide the most comfortable conditions for bringing your skin to its optimal condition:

1. Do not expose your skin to intense heat. Do not visit the bathhouse or sauna for 2 weeks after the session. 2. Do not apply products containing alcohol to your skin. 3. Don't use scrubs. 4. Do not sunbathe in the sun and refuse to visit the solarium. For 2 weeks after the procedure, active sun and solarium are strictly prohibited. During this entire time, use protective products with SPF50+. 5. In the first 3-5 days after the procedure, it is better not to use decorative cosmetics. 6. Try not to touch the skin in the laser-treated area for the first 2-3 days and do not subject it to any physical impact. 7. Wash with warm water and a mild cleanser. It is preferable to use high-quality micellar water.

Course duration

For high-quality removal, some technical aspects of contour makeup or tattoo are important - the quality and composition of the pigment, its color, quantity (number of layers embedded in the dermis) and depth. The combination of these factors affects the number of sessions that will be needed to remove the pigment.

The laser works with pigment layer by layer - during one procedure, the upper layers are processed, and the crushed pigment leaves, opening the lower layers for work. And so on gradually until all layers are removed.

The number of procedures can vary from 1 to 10–12. It happens that you need to work with a patient for a whole year to completely remove the drawings.

If you are not satisfied with the quality of permanent makeup, or want to free an area of skin from an irrelevant tattoo, contact the RAMI clinic for professional help!
