Eyelid contouring is an effective alternative to surgery, which allows you to model facial features and eliminate age-related changes using modern fillers.

INDICATIONS

  • facial wrinkles, crow's feet in the corners of the eyelids;
  • dark circles and bags under the eyes;
  • loss of elasticity, dryness and sagging skin under the eyes;
  • pronounced nasolacrimal groove.

Eyelid contouring is actually the only way, besides surgery, to radically solve age-related problems in this area after 30 years.
Fillers with hyaluronic acid not only fill in gaps, wrinkles, and uneven skin, but also trigger the production of your own collagen, so the effect is long-lasting.

How else can you get rid of dark circles under your eyes?

When it comes to eliminating bruises and circles under the eyes, methods such as laser correction and photorejuvenation .

Laser correction

. The targeted laser beam triggers controlled destruction of surface cellular structures, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Skin cells are renewed, blood stagnation in the vessels is eliminated. The internal resources of the skin are activated, the body begins to produce the necessary structural components itself. The ability to choose from many programs and special narrow nozzles allow you to treat the skin around the eyes as efficiently and accurately as possible.

Photorejuvenation

. A special new generation device (USA-Israel) creates a light beam, the frequency of which is determined by the doctor. The length of the waves determines the effect of the procedure, during which only slight tingling and slight warmth are felt. The generated light triggers rejuvenation processes, and as a result, visible aesthetic defects are eliminated - bruises, shadows under the eyes, hyperpigmentation, the general condition of the skin improves, it tightens, and begins to shine from the inside. The session lasts about 20 minutes.

After laser therapy and photorejuvenation, the skin needs additional protection with special care products, and you also need to protect your face from exposure to direct sunlight.

Lifting and mesotherapy. The beauty of hardware lifting procedures is that they make it possible to achieve a comprehensive result. The effect on the deep subcutaneous layers allows not only to gradually get rid of dark circles under the eyes, but also to solve other problems along the way - for example, to correct the nasolacrimal groove.

Ultrasonic SMAS lifting and RF lifting differ in the acting agent and penetration depth. As the name suggests, ultrasonic SMAS lifting reaches the system-forming SMAS layer using ultrasound, and the RF lifting process is based on the use of radio waves of a certain frequency. The similarity of the methods is due to the fact that the result is achieved through heating and the accompanying contraction of the fibers of the inner layers of the dermis. Their stimulation results in a lasting visible “tightening” effect on the surface of the skin.

To get rid of bruises, our clinic also practices mesotherapy in the form of a course of injections of the popular drug MesoEye, which helps restore skin elasticity by acting on the dermis. Our clinic’s cosmetologists will help you choose the most effective method for removing dark circles under the eyes, which will be effective in your case.

PREPARATIONS FOR CONTOURING PLASTY OF THE PERIORBITAL ZONE

JUVEDERM Ultra is a product based on hyaluronic acid, using 3D Matrix technology. The concentration and density of the active substance can be different - the higher it is, the more pronounced the effect of the procedure will be.

RESTYLANE is a filler with hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. The risk of allergies when using it is minimal.

Belotero Soft is a filler for the correction of fine wrinkles in areas with very thin skin, including under the eyes (lower eyelid), as well as in the crow's feet area.

YVOIRE is a filler with hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. It has a dense structure, which explains the long-lasting anti-aging effect.

TEOSYAL is a highly purified gel with minimal protein content.
Suitable for sensitive skin. Teosyal Puresense Redencity II is designed specifically for correcting the lower eyelid area and filling the nasolacrimal groove.

Botox and hardware treatment

A separate group of drugs for injections includes a drug based on botulinum toxin - Botox. It is also injected directly into the dermis, but for a different purpose - botulinum toxin has the ability to deeply relax the facial muscles that are attached to the skin and cause it to “crease” under the influence of active facial expressions. If the main problem is not a lack of volume, but unpleasant “crow’s feet” formed from laughter, Botox will be the best solution.

Hardware methods also have many advantages: RF lifting allows you to tighten the skin of the eyelids, make it more elastic, and tighten it without resorting to traumatic procedures. Non-surgical blepharoplasty with an erbium laser will make your eyes open and wide open - and again without incisions, stitches or bandages. Our clinic doctors consider and evaluate each case separately - we will choose a solution just for you.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE?

After consultation and examination, the cosmetologist selects the optimal preparation for correction and marks the correction area. The contouring itself is performed using a syringe with a thin needle or cannula. The drug is injected under the skin to a depth of 0.4-1.5 mm. Pre-treatment with an antiseptic and anesthetic is required. On average, the procedure takes 30-60 minutes, the first results are visible immediately, but swelling and redness can last from several hours to several days. The final result is traditionally recorded after 2 weeks.

How long does the effect last?

Some gels are eliminated from the body 3 months after administration, some dissolve much longer - the result lasts up to two years. If you have had “ugly” contour plastic surgery done elsewhere, don’t worry – the process of removing the gel can be accelerated. For this purpose, injections of drugs that neutralize the filler are used - for example, Longidase. You can make an appointment for these injections at our clinic. Microcurrents are also used to speed up the removal of the gel.

If you are not satisfied with having to repeat the procedure over time, you can have fat grafting. This is contouring with purified fat taken from one of your “problem” areas. Fat cells take root by 70% and subsequently do not dissolve. The exception is situations when a person has suddenly lost weight.

Possible complications

  • in rare cases - allergic reactions;
  • swelling (in the first days this is normal);
  • filler migration – for example, its descent downwards;
  • contouring – filler appears under the skin;
  • pigmentation;
  • lymph stagnation;
  • appearance of granulomas.

It is very important to entrust injection correction to a professional cosmetologist. Only the doctor knows at what angle to inject the drug, what volume will be enough and how to achieve the best result. Keep in mind that the introduction of a good gel cannot cost less than 10,000 rubles. for 1 ml.

If you follow your doctor's recommendations, you will not experience any side effects.

PREPARATION FOR THE PROCEDURE, REHABILITATION, CONTRAINDICATIONS

Injections in the eyelid area can only be performed by a qualified cosmetologist who takes into account possible contraindications and knows everything about carrying out such procedures. Fillers differ in the percentage of hyaluronic acid; it is also important to correctly determine the points and depth of injections. Contraindications to eyelid contouring include infectious diseases, diabetes, glaucoma, pathologies of the heart and blood vessels, the presence of skin damage in the treatment area, cancer and autoimmune diseases. It is not recommended to do the procedure during pregnancy and lactation, menstruation, or in case of individual intolerance to the components of the drug. Some contraindications are relative - a doctor can tell you whether the procedure can be performed specifically in your case. For quick and painless rehabilitation, follow your doctor's recommendations. Peels, massages, visits to solariums, saunas, and beaches are prohibited until complete recovery.

Recovery after the procedure

Do not apply decorative cosmetics to the injection area.

First week.

The first two weeks.

Technique for performing IVI

The procedure is carried out on an outpatient basis. No hospitalization required. After a short examination, the patient is sent home. A very small diameter needle is used to inject the medicine into the eye. Therefore, the patient feels practically nothing. However, anesthetic drops are usually used. They are necessary to ensure maximum comfort. Only in very severe cases is a subconjunctival injection of lidocaine given for additional pain relief. To prevent bacterial infection, the conjunctiva is treated with an antiseptic, usually iodine-containing.

The entire procedure is carried out under conditions of maximum sterility, since the risk of infection inside the eye is quite high. All instruments are treated with appropriate solutions. To prevent a person from closing their eyes, an eyelid dilator is used. Involuntary blinking greatly complicates the work of an ophthalmologist.

A needle with a thickness of 27-30 G (Gage scale) is used directly for IVI. The injection site is located 3.5-4 mm from the limbus, but only if the person has a natural lens. For patients with intraocular lenses, the distance to the limbal ring is 3-3.5 mm. These nuances are very important, since the needle should not touch the lens or retina. Before the injection itself, the patient is asked to look in the direction opposite to the injection. After the needle enters the vitreous body, the drug is slowly injected.

The doctor must make sure that blood circulates fully through the retinal artery, and that the injection did not cause complications. For this purpose, an examination of the fundus of the eye is prescribed using an ophthalmoscope. This procedure allows you to examine in detail the macula, retina, blood vessels and optic nerve with disc. Antibiotic prophylaxis is at the discretion of the ophthalmologist. The primary examination is carried out immediately after the injection, the secondary examination - after 5-10 minutes. After taking all precautions, the doctor gives recommendations and sends you home.

PROCEDURE. PRICE IN St. Petersburg

The cost of eyelid contouring is determined during the consultation, as it depends on the drug used and its quantity. It is important that the procedure is carried out by a qualified doctor and only with a certified drug, since the periorbital zone (the area around the eyes) is an area that is difficult to correct, and the result directly depends on the professionalism of the doctor and the quality of the drug.

How to prevent dark circles under the eyes

This is extremely difficult to do, but with due persistence you can reduce the severity of this unpleasant phenomenon. First, you will have to rebuild your lifestyle. Reduce alcohol and coffee consumption, time spent using electronic gadgets, and daily stress levels to a minimum. Increase sleep time if it is not enough.

Secondly, introduce into regular practice such absolutely useful things as self-massage and meditation. The technique for self-massage of the face can be obtained from the Internet. The main thing is not to overdo it and do it very carefully.

Thirdly, start using skincare products designed for the area around the eyes. Modern creams, emulsions and serums from serious manufacturers help quite well. Beauty gadgets such as gel masks and patches have also proven themselves well.

Finally, you can resort to tricks and use hypoallergenic decorative cosmetics that effectively mask the blue under the eyes. One way or another, sooner or later you will still have to resort to the cosmetic procedures discussed above. Age-related changes cannot be compensated for by any of the simple methods. We are always ready to provide you with all the necessary assistance to ensure that you always look great.

Contraindications to correction are lower eyelid hernias and severe swelling caused by diseases of the internal organs.

What medications can be administered during IVI?

The choice of drug is determined by medical indications. For purulent inflammation of the inner lining, antibacterial agents are prescribed; for severe inflammation and progressive macular edema, glucocorticosteroids are used. The wet form of macular degeneration requires the administration of anti-VEGF medications. The following types of drugs are also used:

  • Antibiotics. Usually necessary for endophthalmitis.
  • Antifungal agents. Purulent inflammation also occurs due to mycoses entering the eye.
  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. With their help, uveitis and choroidal neovascularization are treated.
  • Immunomodulators. They suppress uveitis and are used in the treatment of chronic non-infectious diseases of the ocular vessels.

As noted earlier, medical capabilities are expanding. New drugs and methods of their administration are being discovered. This also affects the price of the procedure. Intravitreal injections are a fairly expensive therapy, but their effectiveness is proven and undeniable. Let us list the advantages and disadvantages of the method.

Advantages and disadvantages of the IVI method

The main advantage of the technique is the rapid targeted delivery of all substances of the drug, which ensures a broad effect of the drug and its therapeutic effectiveness. However, there are also some risks. The most serious complication is bacterial contamination, which leads to endophthalmitis - purulent inflammation of the internal structures of the eyeball. The risk of its occurrence is 0.051% for each specific injection. The likelihood of infection is very low. Moreover, the results meet expectations.

There are other documented complications of IVI:

  • Retinal detachment. This disease is accompanied by a rapid decrease in vision. It is required to carry out laser coagulation, during which the retina is soldered to the vitreous body.
  • Persistent increase in intraocular pressure. The patient experiences pain in the head and eye, and various visual functions decrease. If left untreated, the complication causes damage to the optic nerve.
  • Intraocular hemorrhages. They lead to the formation of spots in the field of vision, floating “floaters”, which are located in the vitreous body and are reflected in the process of refraction of light rays, that is, the quality of the image.
  • Damage to the lens. It may move. Such pathologies are treated promptly. They always affect visual acuity.
  • Progression of cataracts - clouding of the lens. At a later stage, it is removed and an intraocular device is implanted into the eye instead.
  • lens. Hypotension, anaphylactic reactions, allergies.

All these risks are taken into account. If there are contraindications to a specific drug, the procedure is not prescribed.

Complications should not be confused with side effects, which may temporarily bother you immediately after an intravitreal injection. Some patients complain of the presence of a foreign object in the eye, pressure and heaviness in it. There is usually no pain. Minor subconjunctival hemorrhages and the appearance of “floaters” are possible. After a few minutes or hours, all these temporary effects of the intervention disappear. It is important not to touch your eye throughout the day. You also need to be careful about hygiene. If you experience pain, increased sensitivity to light, or a sharp decrease in visual acuity, you should urgently consult an ophthalmologist.
