Oksana Kabunina, which was the name of the future star at birth, was born on April 26, 1986 in the city of Penza. From early childhood, the girl dreamed of becoming a singer and dancer. That is why she persistently studied choreography, stage speech and vocals. The girl’s perseverance was appreciated at the Planet Hollywood competition. After a successful performance, Sasha woke up as a star. After just six months of hard work by the producer, Sasha Project’s photos were adorned with dozens of billboards, posters and newspaper spreads. She repeatedly appeared in candid photo shoots with Sergei Zverev and Dima Bilan.
At the peak of her popularity, the celebrity got married and gave birth to a daughter, Milena. The woman got divorced as quickly as you got married. After giving birth, the blonde had a crazy idea to correct some of the flaws in her own body. If only she knew that one operation would lead to a series of repeated surgeries, loss of beauty and partial destruction of her career.

Sasha Project looks so different before and after plastic surgery that you get the strong impression that you are looking at two different people. According to the pop diva, she initially turned to the Bios clinic for help for health purposes, as she felt difficulty breathing. Seeing a very suggestible girl in front of him, the surgeon took advantage of the moment and advised her on many additional procedures that were “fatal” in nature.
- Chin. Sasha's Project operations, which left an indelible imprint on her face, initially started out unsuccessfully. After visiting several specialists, the girl was convinced that her chin was weak and sunken. The patient had no doubt that she needed an implant. After the plastic surgery, it turned out that the doctor chose the most dangerous type of suture - inside the mouth between the lower lip and gum. Sasha Project spent about two weeks in the clinic before and after the operation. Huge (2 cm) holes formed in the suture area, through which the implant itself could be seen, pus was oozing, and lumps formed along the edges.
Added to all the consequences was the fact that the surgeon forgot to attach the new chin to the existing base, so when the swelling went down, it turned out that the lower part of Oksana Kubinina’s face was distorted. It cannot be said that she suffered the same fate as the Bogdanov brothers, but the distortion was obvious.
The girl had to rinse her mouth with an iodine-containing solution for a long time, but the therapy did not bring any visible effect. During one of the subsequent nose jobs, the ill-fated implant from the chin was removed and thrown out by a medical council from another clinic.
- Nose correction. Sasha Project breathes equally poorly before and after nose surgery. Initially, the whole path of her plastic ordeals began precisely with the desire to correct the nasal septum to make breathing easier. After the plastic surgery, the star initially had weak illusions that breathing had returned to normal and that it was only hampered by swelling, but over time the situation only worsened. After the first plastic surgery, the nose turned into a hooked beak. The same terrifying effect was achieved by Joan Rivers, Christina Aguilera and the King of Pop Michael Jackson. After the second operation, the nose became completely snub-nosed.
The result was that the nose was completely deformed and sank, like a victim of syphilis. Oksana, together with her influential mother, oddly enough, turned to the same would-be surgeon for help. Without consulting the patient, the doctor installed an implant in the nasal area, thus creating a more or less even back.
After waking up, the girl was shocked. The implant did not take root and the process of tissue rejection began. A new “procedure” was urgently carried out, the purpose of which was to remove the foreign body from the nasal area, because tissue necrosis could lead to the death of the patient. The living Ken-Justin Jedlica found himself in the same situation. The singer's nose is now permanently crooked at the bridge of the nose, her nostrils are asymmetrical, and the ugly seams have to be masked only with a lot of makeup.
- Breast surgery. Plastic surgery was recommended to the young lady by the same doctor. Before the birth of her daughter, Oksana’s breasts occupied an honorable fourth size. After Milena was born and breastfeeding, the mammary glands sagged, losing their attractive drop-shaped shape. The mammoplasty saga began with the placement of small implants into a woman’s naturally large breasts.
After the procedure was completed, the breasts acquired a strange angular shape. This effect did not suit the busty lady, so the next operation followed. The result is triangular-shaped breasts and implants wandering peacefully under the skin. At the patient's request, another correction was performed. The implants were inserted into the mammary gland itself, part of which had previously been removed. This technique has not been used in plastic surgery for a long time, because breasts modified in this way are deprived of the opportunity to feed a child. It was because of this incorrect operation that the loving mother fed her second child, Lev’s son, with formula.
- Threat of sepsis. After a failed rhinoplasty, a horrific event occurred. Sepsis, which arose due to rejection of the transplanted nasal wall, began to spread to the eyes. For a long time, the whites of the eyes were swollen with blood, swollen, and terribly watery. Suppurations formed in places of special tissue inflammation could penetrate the singer’s brain. The disfigured singer Sasha Project has repeatedly posted shocking photos on her Instagram page. In this creepy way, she wants to warn everyone who wants to change their appearance, what a momentary whim can lead to.

- Sasha.
- Fine. Sasha, what do you need for you to come to Russia?
- Never mind. I have two passports - Russian and English, I don’t need any special invitations. Now I’m making my third film with Andrei Konchalovsky - I photographed on the set of “White Nights of the Postman Alexei Tryapitsyn”, “Sin” about Michelangelo. Now I’m working on the set of a new film about workers from Novocherkassk, the action takes place in 1962. I’m a behind-the-scenes person—the stage as such doesn’t interest me. All the most interesting things happen behind the scenes - at the theater, at the cinema, and even at Sotheby's and Christie's auctions. I'm interested in magic that the average viewer doesn't see.
— Print media have been experiencing a crisis for several years now. Is it important to you that your photographs are printed?

- Certainly! If a photo is not printed, it does not exist: it is important that the photograph is printed and displayed. Instagram should not be taken seriously. But I realized long ago where everything was going, and I haven’t worked for print and glossy media for a long time - I’ve been doing book projects. He has already published fifteen books. Although he worked for a lot of people: he traveled to Africa and India for Conde Nast, took portraits of famous people for Vogue. I am interested in a slightly different crisis: we are simply drowning in images, but not every image becomes an image. There are billions of images around, everyone considers themselves a poet and writer - this is a great time for mediocrity. Previously, in order to publish a book, you had to go through some kind of selection, this required much more effort than now...
“But at the same time, the Internet and, in particular, Instagram provide an opportunity to express yourself.
- May be. But I think the way I think. I still shoot on black and white film. Of course, I have a digital camera, but I do all my main work with film and an analog camera. If you deprive yourself of the process in the laboratory and can immediately look at what you filmed, you turn into a robot. I took a picture, looked, took a picture, looked - it’s impossible! This way you are not concentrating on the actual shooting. When you only have 36 frames, you work like a sniper, like a hunter. And only then can you scream with delight in the laboratory or grab your head. All creativity lies in this. There are 36 frames in the film, and each of them is your bullet. If you miss, Photoshop won't save you.

— The story of the beginning of your career is known - when you moved to London and lied that you were a famous photographer. They filmed the Bolshoi Theater tour and woke up famous.
- Oh yes, I moved with ten dollars in my pocket. One day the Telegraph Reporter did a long interview with me, and I remembered that I learned to take photographs and lie at the same time, in Taganrog, when I was ten years old. My uncle Valery was a famous photographer. He took me to his laboratory and paid me a ruble for each film developed. I showed, and he went for a walk with the girls. And when my aunt called, I answered that my uncle couldn’t answer the phone - otherwise the film would be exposed. So I covered for my uncle and studied photography. I left for England in 1989, and Bolshoi and Grigorovich came on tour in 1992. With half-hearted grief, I received permission to take pictures - I lied that I was a famous Russian photographer in exile. This is how our mutual love with the Bolshoi Theater began. I came to The British Journal of Photography with a letter from Grigorovich - he wrote that no one photographed the Bolshoi better than Gusov. We immediately decided to print the spread and cover. This is how my photography career started.
In 2015, the first book about the Bolshoi was published, sponsored by Abramovich. In 2017 it was republished in English.
— Do you have a shoot that didn’t happen and you regret it?
“I had a shooting that didn’t happen: I dreamed of going back in time and filming Pasolini, I was so impressed by his film “The Gospel of Matthew.” I realized the impossibility of this dream, and it was all the more surprising to plunge into the atmosphere of the Renaissance on the set of Konchalovsky. But the most interesting thing is that the actor who played Michelangelo, Alberto Testone, also played Pasolini (in the film “Pasolini, Hidden Truths.” - “RR”).
— Do you have a dream shot today?
— There is such a phrase: be afraid of dreams that come true, they are replaced by new ones. So I can’t answer this question - another dream may appear tomorrow. People are rushing to the ends of the earth, to New Guinea, to Syria, to photograph the war. But you can take photographs anywhere. If you concentrate, you will certainly be able to see something unusual in the ordinary. That's why I love to just wander around with a camera and shoot. My main job is to see.
Grandiose plans for the future
Speaking about the future, the former star of all disco is very optimistic. The singer is planning a spectacular return to the stage with new songs and a positive mood for the album. But just recently, due to three times of deep anesthesia, she could not formulate phrases, she forgot simple words, numbers, letters.
Sometimes she couldn’t even speak and completely lost her memory. Madame Project, a happy mother of two children, plans to delight the public with her talent, promoting the natural beauty of a woman.
A beautiful woman and talented artist became a victim of medical negligence, the results of which she had to fight for four long years. The long, painful post-operative days have now been replaced by litigation. Oksana decided to never retreat again and always seek justice. The singer calls the main positive lesson from her life that her daughter Milena, who was with her mother after every operation, will never go under the knife.

Now the singer is trying to achieve justice in the courts. But during this time, her husband left her, but she was still able to find long-awaited happiness. Sasha, after a resounding success in show business, you suddenly disappeared - new songs and videos stopped coming out. What happened?
This story is related to my plastic surgeries. In 2009, I went to the doctor because I couldn’t breathe properly. The specialist I dreamed of going to for surgery was busy. In order not to wait in line, I chose another doctor at the same clinic. It so happened that he performed an operation on me that I did not ask for - a nose job. After surgery I developed sepsis. The worst thing was that there was suppuration in the eye area, and this very frightened the doctors. No one could predict where the infection would spread—whether it would go down or into the brain. In order to fix everything, I had to undergo nine more plastic surgeries. I literally went through four years with a cast on my face. In one year I had three operations, respectively, there were three deep anesthesia.

Have you gone to court? How long do litigation last?
Two and a half years. Lawyers cannot guarantee when this will all end. We won the first case, but we were not satisfied with the amount that was awarded. It was 90 thousand rubles, and this included the fine. I understand that doctors do not want to speak badly about their colleagues. The forensic examination was carried out by the same doctors, it seems to me that they tried to reduce all my costs. As a result, I decided to go further and filed a lawsuit with the Moscow City Court. The Presidium accepted our complaint and opened a case for a new amount. We ordered another examination, but this time it was completely independent. Now we wait to see what the court decides.

You said that after the operations you had memory problems...
It's no secret that anesthesia is very harmful - it kills brain cells, which, among other things, are responsible for memory. In addition, now I have vegetative-vascular dystonia. It is permissible to do deep anesthesia only once a year, and I had, as I said, three of them. I am still learning from my daughter’s textbooks; she is entering fourth grade. I read books with her, repeat mathematics, Russian language, literature. There were also problems that I could not speak. Even if you look at my interviews from a year ago, my vocabulary was several times smaller, I forgot words, could not pronounce phrases. I train constantly and read a lot.

How did you cope with such a difficult period in your life?
Psychologists did the most work. They brought me back to life, and I also turned to faith. I have my own mentor, a temple where I come to pray. I enrolled my daughter in an Orthodox Sunday school. Of course, the fans help me a lot when they write to me to return to the stage. But also a special thank you to my cosmetologist, who did everything to make me look good.

Are you planning to return to the stage now?
Work is already underway on a new program and image. The first song has already been recorded. But I'm a terrible intriguer. I don’t want to reveal the secrets of what we have prepared just yet. But I can say for sure that no one has ever had this before. By the way, I decided not to sing about unrequited love. From now on, my compositions will contain only good things, only about holidays, about positivity.

Probably, the closest people help in many ways?
My family is very supportive and loves me very much. But I am now divorced and raising two children. My husband left me when I started having memory problems.

You are left with two children in your arms. Were you afraid of loneliness?
Good people don't stay alone. My man is not a public person, so I don’t try to talk much about him yet. We met him last year, after my divorce from my husband.

How did your daughter experience what happened to you after plastic surgery?
She was very worried, she was afraid to touch me. For her it was a great lesson and school. I wouldn’t wish any child to experience this. Milena is smart, sometimes it seems to me that she is such an adult that I perceive her not as a daughter, but as a sister or girlfriend. On August 29 she will turn 10 years old, she only gets straight A's and is the only straight A student in her class. Recently I took part in the Chinese Language Olympiad and took third place in Moscow.

What is Milena's hobbies? Do you want to sing on stage like your mother?
No, she is not at all attracted to the stage. She is passionate about sports and has won many awards in rhythmic gymnastics. At the age of nine she became the Russian Wushu champion. She studies at a Moscow experimental school, where she studies Chinese and trains. She has a global goal - to become the first Olympic champion in wushu; she dreams that this sport will be included in the Olympics. She has no interest in the stage; she prefers training.

Is your son already showing himself in some way?
Leo is still very young; he will turn two years old on August 21st. He's just starting to talk. I try not to post photos of him on social networks. Sometimes, however, I exhibit them, but only those where his face is not visible.

How does Milena feel about her brother? Not jealous?
His daughter loves him very much, she goes with him everywhere. And how he loves her! As soon as he sees her, he immediately says, “Mile, Mile!” She looks after him and helps him as best she can. Her son has a nanny, but Milena does not miss the chance to do something herself - change his diaper or give him a bath. Many people talk about children being jealous, but we didn’t have that. When I was pregnant, she talked to him constantly. Maybe that's why they are so attached to each other. As soon as Leo was born, Milena perceived him as something magical.

Is dad coming to visit the kids?
Dad is missing, he's been gone for a year now. He has no interest in the children - he doesn’t pay child support, he doesn’t call. Well, we don’t insist.
