AestheFill: Revival of skin from the inside!

Modern life places special demands on drugs for aesthetic correction.
The rhythm of life is constantly increasing, so many patients simply do not have time for lengthy procedures. It is necessary to have everything at once. And if patients choose correction with fillers, they want them to not only fill the voids formed after the loss of their own collagen and elastin from the inside, but also help restart the process of formation of these important components of the skin. In other words, they helped revive the skin from the inside! The scientific community heard these messages and such combined fillers began to appear on the market. The latest development is the South Korean drug for contouring AestheFill (Aeste Fill). It is produced by Rigen Biotech based on research by a group of scientists led by Professor Bem Joon Kim from Chungang University (South Korea).

What are the features of AestheFill?

AestheFill hydrogel is based on polylactic acid, which has been successfully used in medicine for more than 20 years and is part of a self-absorbable suture material for surgical threads and pins. Having studied the natural properties of the polymer, scientists determined its chemical and physical stability, the absence of protein components, which became a common cause of allergic reactions.

The drug uses globular particles of polylactic acid, known as a thermoplastic and biodegradable polylactide, which is obtained from corn or potato starch by polymerization. The structure of polylactic acid is balls, which, in turn, contain L-lactic acid and D-lactic acid with the same chemical and physical parameters.

Biodegradation of the gel occurs independently: due to hydrolysis, polylactide gradually breaks down into lactic acid and glycogen, and is then excreted from the body naturally. As soon as the drug enters the skin, it begins to actively fill the voids that form as a result of skin aging and the loss of its own structural proteins. Once in the target area, polylactide particles begin the immediate process of tissue renewal and collagen formation, due to which the volume is completely replenished and even deep wrinkles are smoothed out. This happens precisely because of the special properties of AestheFill molecules, which, due to their porous structure, provide the most effective collagenogenesis. Fibroblasts (skin cells) begin to work both outside and inside the microspheres.

In addition, polylactic acid actively stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid by mature skin cells. The uniqueness of the filler is that after the disintegration and complete removal of its main active substance from the body (on average, this process takes 3–4 months), what remains at the location of the gel is not a void, but new collagen and elastin. Accordingly, the result will last a long time - until the moment when, under the influence of age factors, the breakdown of your own collagen and elastin begins. At this point the procedure can be repeated.

In AestheFill hydrogel, polylactide has a porous structure with finely dispersed particles of the same size, which ensures uniform distribution of the gel under the skin. Many balls seem to “roll across the floor” and fill all the empty spaces without requiring correction.

How do polylactic threads work?

Polylactic acid threads have a unique operating principle that can be divided into two stages. They not only lift and hold the dermis, but also activate internal processes that effectively help prevent aging. So, the two phases of action look like this:

  • Initial. Lasts up to approximately 9 months. Threads with special notches fit tightly into the layers of the dermis and provide a powerful lifting effect.
  • Final. The threads act even when they are completely removed from the body. This is explained by the fact that nearby cells are activated by the presence of lactic acid and actively produce collagen, which subsequently serves as a natural framework. The resulting effect lasts up to 5 years.

When is AestheFill recommended?

The main indications for the use of AestheFill hydrogel include:

  • lipodystrophy of the face, neck, décolleté and hands, which leads to loss of volume, sagging and sagging skin, loss of elasticity and density;
  • depressed areas on the face - sunken cheeks, temples, the presence of a nasolacrimal groove;
  • deep wrinkles and folds (in the corners of the eyes, around the mouth, nasolabial and premaxillary folds);
  • scars of atrophic and post-operative nature;
  • violation of the shapes and contours of the face (asymmetry, loss of volume).

The drug is administered directly to the places of greatest changes, or all over the face if the skin looks flabby, dehydrated and atonic. The procedure is completed with a light massage to uniformly fill the inner layers of the dermis with gel.

The result of correction with polylactic acid gel

After the procedure, the visible effect occurs almost immediately. Over time, visual signs of rejuvenation become more pronounced. Thanks to the effect of PLA microgranules, anti-aging changes occur in all layers of the skin at the cellular level.

As a result, the client notes:

  • lasting effect of real rejuvenation at any age;
  • compensation for lost volume in the area of the temples, cheeks, cheekbones;
  • reconstruction of dense facial contours, chin area, clear cheekbone line;
  • smoothing out facial wrinkles in areas around the eyes and mouth covered with thin, delicate skin;
  • visible changes in the density and color of the skin of the face, neck, décolleté, and hands;
  • elimination of facial wrinkles, age spots, post-acne marks;
  • narrowing of pores, smoothness, elasticity, healthy complexion.

Benefits of AestheFill filler

Polylactic acid and AestheFill created on its basis are safe for the body. As noted above, polylactic acid is excreted from the body naturally. This means that the patient does not have to worry about health problems associated with the presence of non-degradable polymers in the body.

The drug does not migrate to neighboring tissues. All polylactic acid particles introduced into the dermis remain in the desired layer and strictly maintain the volume in the injection zone.

The correct geometric shape of polylactic acid particles is also a plus, as it protects against clogging of small vessels during administration.

AestheFill is also supported by the fact that during the procedure the doctor can make a suspension of the required concentration and perform work at different levels of the dermis (deep and superficial).

After the procedure there is no need for any complex skin care actions. It is important not to touch the injection sites to avoid infection, causing complications. It is necessary to refrain from using cosmetics, not to go to the sauna, solarium or swimming pool for a while, and also, if possible, not to appear in the cold or wind if the injections were made in the cold season, or in the heat if in the summer.

If you play sports, then after the procedure the intensity of physical activity should be reduced. During recovery, you should also stop drinking alcohol or tobacco.

Recovery period after using Sculptra

The recovery period after Sculptra injection is accompanied by slight swelling and redness. In some cases, if the skin is particularly sensitive, small hematomas may also occur at the sites of skin punctures.

Such manifestations are not considered critical and go away completely without additional therapy in a maximum of 1-2 weeks.

To shorten the recovery period, you should follow certain rehabilitation recommendations.

  1. Carry out self-massage on the corrected areas carefully for a week, after our specialist explains how to do it.
  2. You should not apply any other physical impact to the correction area (scratching, kneading, heating, wiping with a towel).
  3. You can't wear makeup for the first 24 hours.
  4. Washing is allowed only after 2 days. It is better to use light cleansing tonics, chlorhexidine, which our specialist will recommend.
  5. You should not play sports, visit a solarium, sauna, swimming pool, or stay in the cold for a long time for the first 3-5 days after the procedure.

Errors and failures of thread lifting

The most harmless of failures can be considered simply the lack of effect. Well, just think, they threw away the money, walked around for a couple of weeks with a swollen, bruised face, and then everything returned to its original form. It’s worse when the face acquires new features that are completely not provided for by nature.

  • For example, if the threads shine through the skin when laughing or smiling broadly.
  • Or the skin remains gathered, like a fabric into which an elastic band has been inserted.
  • Or if one of the hammock threads is so tight that it looks like there is a wire tied around your neck.
  • Or - this is, of course, a rare case - when the mesh to which the threads are attached cuts through the skin after some time, forming a permanent inflammation.

Well, almost standard situations: noticeable depressions form on the face; as a result of tightening the nasolabial folds, the mouth stretches like a frog; In the process of correcting a double chin, the skin is tightened and the entire face slides down, forming jowls.

In addition, the influence of the formation of collagen and connective tissue capsules under the skin around the threads (fibrosis) has not been fully studied - it is not clear whether they, for example, interfere with the blood supply or the distribution of nerve endings.

Hit the wrinkles

The word “Botox” has long become a household word and popularly means any injection of drugs that block the transmission of nerve impulses from skin cells to the brain and thereby prevent muscles from contracting. Such injections allow you to quickly get rid of wrinkles on the forehead and bridge of the nose, but the effect is not as long-lasting as we would like and will please you for only 5-8 months. After this, the injection can be repeated.

How does this happen? During the procedure, a substance called botulinum neurotoxin is injected under the skin. In large doses it is deadly, but in small doses it can do a good job and solve problems that are beyond the control of cosmetic preparations. Take, for example, facial wrinkles. Until now, no more effective means for their correction has been found. Botulism neurotoxin is also used to eliminate excessive sweating. When injected into the armpits or palms, it reduces the activity of the sweat glands and copes with this delicate task in no time.

In the United States, the history of the cosmetic use of Botox goes back about 20 years, but there are some nuances and subtleties here. First of all, the administration of the drug, despite its apparent simplicity, requires a highly qualified specialist. By choosing the wrong injection site or injecting the drug too deeply, you can get complications - hemorrhage at the injection site, pain, skin irritation. These symptoms, of course, will pass, but the discomfort is expensive. In addition, some women have complete insensitivity to this substance - even if the procedure is carried out according to all the rules, your wrinkles will remain with you. One good thing is that there are no more than 1% of them in the world. The only way to check whether you belong to this group is through experience. Many people are confused about the terms “Botox” and “Dysport”. These are the names of the same drug, only Botox is produced by an American company, and Adysport is produced by a French company. The latter, by the way, costs almost 2 times cheaper. The effectiveness of the drugs is approximately at the same level.

Cocktail for skin

Those whose main problem is not wrinkles, but deterioration of skin turgor (loss of elasticity, beginning sagging of tissues), should pay attention to another injection technique - mesotherapy.

How does this happen? Using special small needles, healing cocktails rich in vitamins and microelements are injected under the skin. Preparations based on hyaluronic acid, the key substance responsible for skin hydration and elasticity, have proven themselves to be excellent. Cocktails with DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) are also gaining popularity, allowing them to thicken the epidermis, tighten tissues and remove accumulated toxins. The composition of the cocktail is determined individually in each specific case. The ingredients can be mixed in almost any proportions, based on the existing problems and characteristics.

Mesotherapy allows you to greatly “rejuvenate” the skin, not only from the outside, but also from the inside. But you will not see the effect immediately - it will take at least 5-7 sessions for the reflection in the mirror to noticeably freshen up. Treatments are usually carried out once a week. After them, minor redness may form at the injection sites, which goes away on its own after a couple of hours.

Keep in mind, mesotherapy is often quite painful. If your skin is sensitive, ask your doctor to use local anesthesia in advance. Remember also that this method is not a panacea for skin aging. Mesotherapy is good when age-related changes in the epidermis have barely begun. Unfortunately, she is practically powerless against serious skin lesions.

Mesotherapy is used not only to solve problems with the face, but also to treat cellulite, correct stretch marks, and in weight loss programs. In this case, substances are added to the cocktails that promote the breakdown of fat cells, enhance the movement of lymph and the removal of excess fluid, and stimulate the formation of collagen and tissue renewal. The effectiveness of procedures also depends on the “initial data”. The less pronounced the problem, the easier it will be to solve.

So is it worth doing a thread lift?

As we can see, this procedure is painful, with long and difficult rehabilitation, a little predictable effect, and the cost is quite comparable to real plastic surgery. Its only undoubted advantage is its reversibility, since the threads can always be removed, although in the case of jagged ones this presents certain difficulties.

In a word, I would not recommend this type of lift to anyone, but if you still decide, have it done only by experienced, well-proven plastic surgeons (or licensed cosmetologists in the case of mesothreads) - do not risk your face and health in pursuit of eternal youth.

A little theory or what advertising says

Facelift with threads is a non-surgical rejuvenation technique. The technique has been known for more than 15 years and is successfully used in various countries around the world. It is advisable to use cosmetic threads in cases where conventional cosmetic procedures no longer provide adequate results in correcting age-related changes. As a rule, this method is chosen by those women who cannot yet decide on serious plastic surgery, and gentle techniques - biorevitalization, mesotherapy, laser resurfacing and the like no longer work.
