My usage experience

The powder is intended for oily and normal skin. I define my skin type differently, because in the winter season my skin behaves as dry, and in the summer as combination and oily. It is during the warm period that I use the most powder, since on hot days I especially want to have a matte effect on my face. But not this time and not with this powder. Its main disadvantage is that it dries out the skin very much. Immediately after powdering, you feel tightness and itching - these unpleasant sensations appear on all parts of the face, even in the T-zone, which can be extremely oily. There is a great desire to wash off all makeup from your face and use moisturizer.

On the official website, the manufacturer suggests using compact powder instead of foundation or as a finishing touch to makeup.

While other powders are comfortable to apply directly to the skin without foundation, retouching imperfections and slightly evening out the tone of the face, Fit Me cannot boast of this. In the first Before/After photo (below), a matte effect is noticeable, which masks oily shine. But this powder alone cannot cope with purple bags under the eyes, nor, in fact, with redness. In addition, it highlights imperfections, for example, peeling on the cheeks, which was previously caused by dryness. I also don’t really like the application process itself - you need to endlessly rub the “bloopers” from the sponge so that there are no light streaks and a “chalk” effect.

The second photo shows the Fit Me Before/After powder in “full” makeup: it includes working out problem areas with Fit Me concealer, shade # 10 and covering with Maybelline Better Skin foundation, shade 05 Light beige. I would like to note that the powder fits more comfortably on the foundation - it is evenly distributed and does not dry out the skin so much.

Just recently I came up with another way to use this mattifying powder. Summer has come, and a long-awaited new product has appeared in my arsenal of cosmetics - this is sunscreen milk, which, when applied to the face, leaves a greasy shine. So our powder does a great job with it!

General impression

My conclusion is that the option of applying this powder on some foundation is more pleasant “on the face” and more effective - the effect is more obvious, and there is less stress on the skin in the form of dryness and tightness. As for the promised invisible pores, to disguise it is necessary to carefully press the areas with deep pores with a sponge, so that some of the powder gets at least a little inside, and does not remain at the edges, emphasizing the pores even more.

Most likely, the powder will serve me until the end of its shelf life, that is, another year, and in total it will be almost 3 years!

Previously, I used Affinitone compact powder, also from Maybelline - one box was only enough for one season due to daily active use. But I still have Fit Me powder like new due to the drawback described above. I think that after Fit Me I will return to Affinitone powder again, and I hope that its quality characteristics have not changed during the long break in contact with it. Or I’ll try powder from the SuperStay24 range, or something from Maybelline’s new products, for example, Facestudio. By the way, it is worth noting that Fit Me is one of the cheapest among all of the above - from 364 to 408 rubles, while the cost of Affinitone is from 439 to 495 rubles, and for SuperStay24 the price reaches 619 rubles. I would like to believe that the price-quality ratio here will be directly proportional.
