Perhaps everyone dreams of beautiful and clean skin, perfectly smooth, with a healthy, uniform color. However, acne, pimples and blackheads can greatly ruin a person’s quality of life and cause severe psychological discomfort. Moreover, this problem occurs not only among teenagers, but also among adults. It is quite difficult to eliminate this deficiency on your own, since treatment takes a long time, requires adherence to a special diet and long-term use of potent medications. Various cosmetics in most cases provide only a slight cleansing effect, or show no results at all.
Mesotherapy for acne is a modern, affordable and most effective way to treat acne and post-acne. This is an injection procedure during which special therapeutic “cocktails” are injected under the patient’s skin in small doses. Individually selected preparations normalize metabolic processes in the skin and restore damaged epidermal cells. The result of the therapy will be a clean and smooth face without any rashes or traces of them.
Causes of acne
Acne is a skin disease that manifests itself in the form of increased oiliness of the skin, the appearance of large painful pustular rashes, small rashes and blackheads. Teenagers are most susceptible to acne, as during puberty the body experiences increased hormonal activity, which provokes the appearance of skin rashes. In middle-aged people, the problem occurs equally often among both men and women.
Experts identify the following causes of pathology:
- Hereditary factor
- Hormonal imbalance
- Inflammatory processes in the body
- Disruption of the endocrine system
- Frequent stress, nervous tension
- Allergic reactions
- Increased sebum production
- Gynecological diseases, gastrointestinal diseases
- Taking hormonal medications, oral contraceptives
- Poor quality or incorrectly selected cosmetics for your skin type
- Wearing tight and uncomfortable synthetic clothing
- Failure to comply with hygiene rules, insufficient skin care
The pathology mainly affects areas of the skin where a large number of sebaceous glands are concentrated, namely: the face, décolleté, and back. Less commonly, acne can be found on the arms and buttocks. The disease rarely goes away without a trace - even after the pimple has completely disappeared, dark spots (post-acne) or small scars remain on the skin.

What is edema?
Edema is a small local or general swelling that occurs as a result of the accumulation of fluid in the tissues. Most often, lymph acts as this fluid.
As a result of damage to the lymphatic channels due to impact or mechanical stress, its circulation is impaired. This causes swelling, which goes away after a few days.
If we talk about mesotherapy, swelling may also be associated with the accumulation of meso-cocktail in the structure of the skin. It is not always distributed throughout the dermis immediately after administration; with a low level of permeability of the drug, this period can take up to 1-2 days.
Swelling is usually not accompanied by pain unless it is caused by an impact or tissue damage. After mesotherapy, pain is also usually not felt, however, the skin in the treated area may become more sensitive,
The principle of action of the drugs
During mesotherapy, meso-cocktail preparations are used, the composition of which is designed specifically for the effective treatment of acne. The main active ingredients are antibiotics and immunorestorative components. The former destroy harmful bacteria and microorganisms that provoke the appearance of rashes, the latter are necessary for the rapid restoration of epidermal cells and prevent the recurrence of rashes. Despite the fact that antibiotics are not considered the safest drug, they do not cause harm to the body and skin microflora. This component is present in the composition in microscopic doses and has an effect only on the treated area, without penetrating into the body as a whole. Therefore, in this case, the risk of complications is completely absent.
The meso cocktail may also include vitamins B6, B12, C and E, hyaluronic acid, magnesium, potassium, homeopathic medicines, and herbal extracts. The exact composition and concentration of substances is selected individually for each patient, depending on the type of rash, its location and the extent of skin damage.
The drug is injected directly into the problem area, which allows the therapeutic components to be delivered clearly to the source of inflammation, stopping it and destroying harmful bacteria. In addition to eliminating acne, injections provide a good cosmetic effect: fine wrinkles are smoothed out, the skin becomes moisturized and acquires elasticity.
A course of treatment
The exact number of sessions is determined individually for each person after a preliminary examination of the problem area. The amount depends on the type of acne, the degree of the disease, the area of the surface being treated, and the age of the patient. On average, to achieve results it will take 5-10 procedures with an interval of 2-4 weeks. To treat severe acne, more intensive therapy may be required, consisting of a larger number of sessions (15 or more) in combination with additional cosmetic procedures. For example, laser resurfacing will help quickly eliminate spots and scars after acne and even out skin texture.
Stages of the procedure
- Preliminary consultation A mandatory stage of treatment is a preliminary conversation with a cosmetologist. The specialist will examine problem areas, determine injection sites, select the most effective meso-cocktail, and prescribe the required number of sessions. The doctor also finds out whether the person has any restrictions on mesotherapy, if necessary, prescribes tests and conducts a test for allergic reactions.
- Preparation for injections The patient is positioned on a cosmetic couch. The area where the drug is administered is thoroughly cleaned of cosmetics and other contaminants, after which an antiseptic composition is applied. If desired, the skin can be treated with a special anesthetic cream, which will reduce discomfort to zero.
- Administration of the drug The drug is injected small into the middle layers of the skin using a syringe. The doctor can inject either each element separately or the entire area of the rash. Then a disinfectant composition is re-applied to the treated area, as well as cosmetics that relieve inflammation from injections and accelerate healing.
Rehabilitation
In total, rehabilitation takes no more than 3-5 days. In the vast majority of cases, the recovery period is easy and painless, without disturbing the order of normal life. In the first days, some swelling, redness and small bruises may appear on the treated surface. There is no need to be afraid of these consequences - this is a completely natural reaction of the body to injections. They will go away on their own after 2-3 days.
You should also follow simple rules until the skin heals completely:
- try not to touch the treated area;
- do not sunbathe in the open sun or solarium;
- refuse to take too hot baths, visit baths and saunas;
- do not apply decorative cosmetics to the treated area;
- treat the skin with cosmetics recommended by a cosmetologist.
If all of the above points are observed, therapy does not cause any negative consequences.
How to get rid of swelling after mesotherapy?
You need to start restoring your skin immediately after visiting the salon. The faster you get rid of swelling, increased tissue sensitivity and other signs of damage, the faster you can achieve the desired result from mesotherapy.
There are several methods that are often prescribed to girls who want to get rid of puffiness under their eyes.
Drugs
To eliminate swelling after mesotherapy, doctors often prescribe basic medications to girls:
- Heparin ointment;
- Troxevasin;
- Girundin;
- Dexpanthenol.
You need to use ointments 2 times a day, applying them in a thick layer to the affected area. They have a strong effect, so the swelling begins to subside after the first use of the ointment.
Folk remedies for edema
One of the most popular folk remedies used by girls to eliminate swelling is ice. It can simply be applied to the affected area through a thin cloth.
You can also perform various herbal compresses and lotions. They also quickly soothe the skin on a girl’s face, helping to gradually eliminate swelling.
Watch your diet too. It should not contain too spicy, sweet or salty foods.
Massages and treatments for swelling
Since edema is often associated with stagnation of lymphatic fluid or local accumulation of meso-cocktail, you can mechanically accelerate the restoration of tissue structure.
It is recommended to do the massage yourself - 2 times a day. Use gentle, smooth movements to massage the sensitive area, stimulating blood flow and lymphatic drainage.
It is not worth using special procedures (electroporation and medical massage) for rehabilitation, since they can lead to the opposite effect, causing other, more serious consequences.
Mesotherapy for rosacea
Cuperosis is a fairly common vascular disorder among both women and men. In dermatology, rosacea is commonly called telangiectasia. Externally, it manifests itself as a pronounced vascular pattern on the skin of the face (more noticeable localization).
The cause of rosacea is the weakness of the muscle layer of the vascular wall, so the vessel cannot relax and narrow normally. If such a vessel fills with blood, it expands more than normal, which is why a not very aesthetic vascular pattern is formed. A mild degree of rosacea is manifested only by redness of areas of the facial skin.
Apart from external changes, the owner of rosacea does not feel any pain, itching, etc.
The tendency to develop rosacea is hereditary and people with thin, sensitive skin are most susceptible to it; telangiectasia more rarely appears on thick, oily skin.
Treatment of rosacea involves complex and well-prepared therapy, and one of the stages of such treatment is mesotherapy.
Mesotherapy for rosacea has proven to be a highly effective and reliable method, since the effect is on the pathogenetic links of the pathology.
In this case, the doctor performs microinjections into areas of the skin with a vascular pattern.
Effects of mesotherapy for rosacea:
- restoration of the structure of the vascular wall;
- normalization of the tone of the muscle layer of the vascular wall;
- eliminating redness;
- improvement of metabolic processes in the affected area.
The drug begins to act immediately after the injection, so even after the first procedure the client can immediately see the effect. The course of mesotherapy for rosacea depends on the condition of the skin vessels, but on average about 5 procedures are required with a break of 10-14 days. The course can be repeated after 8-10 months, as well as maintenance therapy every 2 months. For mesotherapy for rosacea, we use the following drugs:
- FL-Organic Silicium;
- FL-Rutin&MelilotExtract;
- FL-AsianCentella;
- FL-GinkgoBiloba;
- FL-Vitamin C.
Prevention of edema after mesotherapy
To avoid severe swelling after mesotherapy, it is important to first pay attention to the choice of cosmetology in which you will perform the procedure, as well as the qualifications of the specialist, since the result of the procedure largely depends on the correct administration of the drug.
It is also important to ensure that the meso-cocktail used is of high quality and that there are no contraindications to its use.
To speed up skin recovery after a session, follow these precautions:
- For 4 hours, refrain from washing and applying any cosmetics to the treated area;
- Stop smoking, drinking alcohol and energy drinks for 6 hours;
- For 3 days, refrain from visiting the bathhouse, sauna, swimming pool, or taking hot baths;
- Stop taking blood thinning medications while undergoing mesotherapy and avoid sunbathing.
By treating your skin carefully after administering meso-cocktails, you will not only increase the efficiency of absorption of nutrients, but also avoid undesirable consequences, which include long-term tissue swelling.
How often should sessions be held?
The course can be divided into two stages. The first stage is intensive, during which injections are given at weekly intervals. The second stage is supportive. The intervals between injections are becoming longer and eventually reach once a month (sometimes less often). Mesotherapy does not give an immediate effect, but after three days the reflection in the mirror begins to change for the better. The visible effect lasts from three months to one and a half years, depending on the duration of the course and the formula of the administered composition.
