The girl was born in 1983 from a mixed marriage, her father is of Turkish origin and her mother is German. While still in Berlin, while studying and working in the theater, the girl began a relationship with a guy named Ozan. The young and handsome Turk charmed her. The romance lasted more than 6 years. However, the young man turned out to be, to put it mildly, a scoundrel. For a large reward, her boyfriend sold intimate photos of the actress to journalists , and also commented on them quite impudently.
At the end of 2012, during the filming of “The Magnificent Century,” Meryem met a new boyfriend, Turkish businessman Can Ates. The man seemed like an outlet for the actress in a foreign country.
