I worked in the salon of Dolores Kondrashova, the coach of the USSR national hairdressing team. I slept there, ate, washed - I had a recording from morning until late at night. Once I went to the shower. Suddenly someone knocks on the door. It turned out to be Dolores. “Come out urgently, Allah is on the phone for you.” I think, what kind of Alla? I don't have any Alla. I pick up the phone and it’s Pugacheva! She wanted to put Chelobanov in order. As a result, Chelobanov did not come - she arrived alone. I did everything for her. During the process, someone else called me, some unpleasant financial issues were being resolved, and I owed money. Alla heard the conversation, comes up to me and says: “How much do you need? I will give". I was shocked! It's that simple, to a stranger! She was so slim and beautiful. I was madly in love with her, I was really sick. I remember going to the library and wanting to look at her photographs. So you take any material about her, the text is there, but the photos are all torn out! And in my youth, I remember when plastic bags with her image appeared, I immediately bought ten of them. I took care of them and didn’t wear anything in them.

Nothing specific! I will say this: those who think that I am gay, let them think that I am gay. Because this is the majority of the audience that comes to my concerts. Well, first of all, he must have insane willpower. He must be loyal, honest, sincere, decent. It would be good if he did everything he says. It would also be good if he had a good salary, received some money, and supported his family himself. And he did not live on his wife’s means or money. In general, as for a real man, he owes a lot. You can sit and talk for another hour about what he owes.

And what do you think? I made a name for myself. There were no people I could cling to and climb to Olympus. I owe everything to these qualities. I owe it to my own hands, no one else has such hands. Even if I stay on the street now, burn everything I have, disappear, I can survive. The main thing is that I will still have my hands, and I will do everything even better.
When we performed in Poland, the audience was so delighted with my technique that the next day the entire local press wrote that Sergei Zverev’s show could only be compared with David Copperfield’s show. But behind all this external beauty there is always hellish work hidden.
And also a talent from God. The person must be marked up there. I can say to myself: “I am a person to whom God has given everything.” If I had to fill out a form, I would do everything about it. There are only a few stylists and fashion designers like me; there cannot be a whole generation like me.

And how often do you fall in love with your clients?
Sometimes sympathy arises... Well, actually, as a surgeon, I don’t choose my patients. Some people sometimes wait six months to get their makeup or hair done by me! And whether I like it or not, I have to be professional about my work.
What I don’t like is those stars who are not ready to accept the images that I offer them. I have had cases when some stars rejected my proposals, but came to this conclusion after 5-6 years.
Has it ever happened that you worked with a person for a long time, and then he came out to the broad masses and said: “My taste is innate, I made my image myself”?
Oh, all the time! It happens that I comb a person’s hair, dress and put on shoes, in particular with my own money, and then she says: “Oh, I’m so all natural. I’m all by myself” and publishes my photos, wearing my hats and accessories and even shoes from my collection. We have such a tendency on the stage. And this is not very pleasant - everyone should mind their own business.
Do you, as a stylist, believe in the “light” and “heavy” hand of the hairdresser?
Quite! One day I noticed that I had not had my hair cut for a long time. And I remembered that a friend and colleague cut my hair a long time ago. And my hair didn’t grow for about a year. Until I took it myself and slightly trimmed the ends of the hair with my hand.
Can you give a person back his hair if he is completely bald?
People come to me with problem hair in hopeless situations, and I help them. For a tidy sum, of course. Not right away. This is a long period. It won't be easy, but I will restore my hair.
Maybe you can give me some advice on how not to lose the last of my hair?
Firstly, you need to stop drinking and smoking, and secondly, it all depends on lifestyle and nutrition. The amount of hair on your head also depends on who you live with, who is next to you, every day in your apartment.
Maybe this person takes so much energy that soon not only his hair, but also his penis will fall off. Take care of your nervous system, your mood, vitamins. It's not a matter of age. The main thing is not to resign yourself to catastrophic hair loss, but to “ring the bells.” After all, there is only one life.
