Buttock implants: reviews, contraindications, photos

Hello, hello my dears! Your Alice is with you again. Today, as promised, I will tell you about butt implants. I became seriously interested in this issue and tormented more than one plastic surgeon with questions in order to collect as much useful information as possible.

The funny thing is that a couple of girls I know, whose butts men constantly look at, have these same implants inserted into their buttocks. So, for your sake, I interrogated them with passion on the topic of sensations and impressions from plastic surgery and even asked for a photo of the result, so to speak, for comparison.

Ideal buttock shape, is it possible?

As the famous movie heroine said: What makes a woman a woman? Only she meant the gait, but you and I know what men pay attention to first of all. These are beautiful breasts and elastic buttocks. And what to hide, we women also always appreciate a rounded male butt. Is not it?

But what to do if nature decided to rest precisely at the moment when it created the “view from the rear”.
After all, a flat butt and a floating contour of the buttocks are a frequent reason for the development of complexes. You can seek the help of a plastic surgeon. Many clinics now perform buttock augmentation with implants. I even found out what this operation is called - gluteoplasty. Important information! The price of the life-saving procedure depends on the cost of the implants, additional services offered and the region.
On average, to create the perfect butt, you need to be prepared to spend from 70 to 200 thousand rubles. Not only women resort to gluteoplasty. Men want to have a beautiful body no less than we do. In general, plastic surgery on the butt area is performed in the following cases:

  • hypoplasia or aplasia. This is when the gluteal muscles are underdeveloped or almost completely absent;
  • with deformation of the buttocks after injury;
  • asymmetrical location of the gluteal muscles;
  • atrophic muscle changes;
  • insufficient buttock size and loose skin.

But I want to say right away that there are more loyal ways to make your butt beautiful. For example, you can use special underwear: push-up panties or shorts.

Correction methods

Mediaesthetic plastic surgeons use advanced methods in performing gluteoplasty of the buttocks.

Lipofilling

Lipofilling is an enlargement of the buttock area using your own fat cells. The method is considered the safest, since “native” fiber is injected into the corrected area. Typically, fat cells are taken from the patient’s problem areas (sides, abdomen, etc.), then processed in a special centrifuge and purified.

Due to the tendency of fat cells to be partially absorbed during surgery, the doctor may inject an excess amount, taking into account the subsequent decrease.

Surgery to enlarge the buttocks with your own fat is performed under general anesthesia; the results last for up to 15 years.

Endoprosthetics of the buttocks

Plastic surgery uses silicone implants to correct the gluteal area. The cost of gluteoplasty depends on the chosen correction method and the type of prosthesis.

Implants are of the following types

  • round;
  • anatomical (pear-shaped).

Endoprostheses are inserted through a small incision (up to 5 cm) in the intergluteal fold, so the postoperative suture is not noticeable at all, just as the prostheses themselves are not visible - they cannot be palpated and do not interfere with sitting. Depending on the body type and the presence of fatty tissue, the installation method is selected: above the gluteal muscle, under the fascia of the gluteus maximus muscle; Intermuscular or axillary placement is also possible.

Implants are made of various sizes, smooth and porous structures, and sometimes they are filled with saline solution, which is safer. Silicone prostheses are considered the most reliable and similar in structure to muscle tissue; they have a lifetime guarantee.

Butt lift

The methods are used for “advanced” ptosis and some cosmetic defects in the appearance of the gluteal region.

The doctor makes a dissection of the soft tissue and skin in the subgluteal fold, then the excess tissue is excised and sutures are applied. The operation requires general sedation and a long recovery period. To create beautiful contours, it is recommended to combine the operation with lipofilling or endoprosthetics.

Indications and contraindications

Indications:

  • sagging skin around the eyes and the formation of deep folds;
  • loss of elasticity, pronounced wrinkles and folds of facial skin;
  • cheek ptosis;
  • drooping jowls.

Contraindications:

The procedure is not recommended in the following cases:

  • pregnancy, breastfeeding period;
  • blood diseases;
  • inflammatory and infectious diseases;
  • endocrine pathologies;
  • systemic diseases;
  • individual intolerance to drugs used during surgery.

Selection of implants

What are implants? These are capsules consisting of a heavy-duty shell and filled with saline or silicone.

The capsules are completely airtight and do not cause allergies, and they are much stronger than those used for breast enlargement. Well, this is understandable, considering that the butt bears a more intense load than the chest.

Size

Of course, implants vary in size and are selected taking into account the patient’s physique, the initial size of the buttocks and the desired result.

You can insert both capsules with a volume of 480 ml and a smaller version with a volume of 140 ml. There are also intermediate sizes.

Form

But the shape of buttock implants can be of only two types:

  • for those who want to have a round butt, round-shaped capsules are suitable;
  • if the butt is initially asymmetrical, similar to a pear, then it is better to use teardrop-shaped anatomical implants.

The guarantee on implants is almost lifetime, but it is worth considering that with age, the appearance of the butt will still change, although the capsules themselves will remain in perfect condition.

What problems can gluteoplasty solve?

The first thing people do when they want to improve the shape of their gluteal muscles is join a gym. However, sad as it may be, not all aesthetic problems can be solved with competent physical activity. If you tend to be thin, there is a problem with gaining muscle mass, so sports does not always allow you to achieve the desired shape. It is also necessary to remember that increasing muscle size does not always provide the desired visual effect. When there is a rapid decrease in body weight, natural aging of the body, the muscles lose their former elasticity and, due to the formation of voids inside, sag.

Physical exercise does not always help give your buttocks firmness and volume.

In such a situation, surgical correction comes to the rescue. This method allows you to give the buttocks the required shape and volume, tighten the skin and remove sagging. Thanks to the operation, the buttocks become firmer and more visible.

The downside is that the manifestations of cellulite will remain if they were there before the operation. Therefore, if you suffer from lumpy skin and excess subcutaneous fat, you should undergo a course of treatment in advance.

What to consider when choosing implants?

A plastic surgeon will help you choose the ideal implants. A preliminary consultation with a doctor will allow you to get answers to all your questions about the upcoming operation and the rehabilitation period, as well as determine the shape and size of the implanted capsules.

After all, if you insert implants that are too voluminous, the butt will be unnaturally large, and figure disproportions will arise, and small capsules will simply be invisible and the result after the operation will not be pleasing.

In addition, it is better to choose an option with a smooth rather than porous surface. In this case, the risk of the formation of excess fluid and connective tissue in the installation area is reduced.

Rehabilitation

The early rehabilitation period lasts 24 hours, during which time the patient spends in the hospital. After surgery, there may be a slight increase in temperature, swelling and bruising. Sometimes painkillers are required.

For 1 month, the patient must wear compression garments, regularly visit the doctor and undergo dressings. You should also avoid swimming pools, solariums, baths, bathing, and open water for a month, and limit physical activity.

The price for shape correction and buttock enlargement is calculated individually and depends on the type of operation chosen, the amount of work, the type of anesthesia, and the length of the patient’s stay in the hospital.

The successful implementation of gluteoplasty and the duration of the results obtained completely depend on the qualifications of the plastic surgeon. The specialists of the Mediestetik clinic have the necessary qualifications and extensive experience in performing such operations.

Who are contraindicated for implants?

Do you think that anyone can change the shape of their buttocks with plastic surgery? Not so. In some cases this is simply prohibited.

You will have to forget about plastic surgery if:

  • there are blood diseases;
  • there are problems with blood vessels and the heart;
  • carbohydrate metabolism disorders were diagnosed;
  • there is excess weight and not just a few extra kg, but obesity;
  • Skin transplantation was performed in the buttock area;
  • an inflammatory process and suppuration develop in the buttocks;
  • malignant neoplasms have been detected in the body;
  • Chronic internal diseases have worsened.

Important nuance! The fulfillment of the desire to have a butt with implants will have to be postponed until adulthood.

Difference between buttock and thigh implants?

Before scheduling an operation, a medical examination is required:

  • biochemistry and general clinical examinations of urine and blood;
  • blood clotting test;
  • fluorography
  • ECG

How are implants inserted? The operation itself lasts no more than a couple of hours and is performed after preliminary anesthesia. The placement of the capsules is determined during the consultation and can be:

  • under the fascia of the buttock muscle;
  • inside the muscle;
  • and under the gluteus maximus muscle.

The tissue is dissected in the fold and an implantable capsule is inserted into the resulting cavity (pocket) and a suture is applied using threads that can self-absorb.

If plastic surgery is performed not on the buttocks, but on the hips (yes, yes, this also happens), then the silicone implant is implanted through the inguinal or subgluteal fold, as a result of which the seam remains almost invisible. Thighplasty - femoroplasty, allows you to tighten or enlarge the muscles of the inner thigh and give the legs an elegant shape. Unfortunately, the choice of capsules for hip correction is limited, and such plastic surgeries are not performed in every clinic.

After the operation, the patient is transported to a ward, where he will have to lie down for a couple of days.

Butt lift (operation Butterfly)

A butt lift is a surgical procedure that aims to rejuvenate the buttock area.

Indication for surgery

  1. The presence of loose skin of the buttocks
  2. Sagging skin of the buttocks
  3. Excess skin after severe weight loss
  4. Age-related changes in the buttocks area

Operation technique

A skin incision is made in the transitional fold from the buttocks to the lumbar area. It is in this part of the body that the scar will be barely noticeable in the future. Excess skin is excised and the entire wound is sutured with intradermal cosmetic sutures. In the future, such a scar will be practically invisible, especially if in the early postoperative period you properly care for the scar and use special anti-scar agents. When performing this procedure, the muscles of the buttocks are not affected and the function of the gluteal muscles is not affected in any way.

The operation is performed under general anesthesia and requires preliminary preoperative preparation. You must pass all the tests according to the list that we give you and later you will be examined by an anesthesiologist at our clinic.

Rehabilitation

There are certain restrictions after butt lift surgery. We recommend limiting physical activity and strictly excluding thermal procedures (saunas, steam baths). Also a very important condition is to limit direct sunlight into the scar. During the healing process, scar tissue actively absorbs sunlight and this can lead to redness of the scar.

Wearing compression garments is not required in all cases. Most often, fixing bandages are applied, in which our patients walk for up to 2 weeks; in this case, there is no need to wear compression garments.

The Ufa clinic “AG Faber” employs professional plastic surgeons with extensive experience who will perform gluteoplasty at the highest level.

Rehabilitation period

After returning home from the clinic, a recovery period begins, which lasts up to six months. To ensure that the joy of owning a new butt is not overshadowed by anything, you will have to follow some rules:

  • special shapewear cannot be removed for at least two months;
  • You shouldn’t sit down for a week, you can only lie down, and for several days only on your stomach;
  • regularly treat sutures using healing and anti-inflammatory drugs recommended by your doctor;
  • for at least three days you should not wet the stitches, and therefore take a bath or shower;
  • Avoid physical activity for 4-5 weeks.

After installation of buttock implants, intramuscular injections can only be made in the femoral area. You can't give injections in the butt anymore.

Are there any complications?

Now the operation is already in the past and it seems that all the worst is behind us, and ahead there are only admiring male glances and the envious grumbling of girlfriends.

Not so simple. As after any surgical intervention, complications following gluteoplasty are rare but possible:

  1. The sciatic nerve may be damaged during surgery or a displaced implant may begin to put pressure on it, resulting in pain in the leg when walking and a change in gait.
  2. Unsuccessful buttock implants can cause an asymmetrical position of the buttocks or be too noticeable, thereby spoiling the visual impression.
  3. The implant can cause the proliferation of connective cells and the appearance of a bumpy surface on the butt.
  4. Infection may occur, which will lead to inflammation and suppuration of the sutures. With the same probability, the stitches can take a long time to heal or simply come apart.
  5. Visible, rough scars may form at the site of the sutures.
  6. The implant may move to the side and protrude unsightly.
  7. As a result of damage to nerve endings or blood vessels during surgery, the gluteal muscles may completely atrophy.

Carefully! After gluteoplasty, the butt may freeze faster, a burning sensation will be felt in the buttocks and it will be painful to sit on the butt.

Contraindications

If the indications for buttock augmentation or correction of their shape are determined by the patient’s aspirations, the contraindications are different. There are situations when buttock surgery cannot be performed. These include:

  • age less than 18 years.
  • Pregnancy and lactation period.
  • Pathologies of the cardiovascular system.
  • Certain forms of obesity.
  • Blood clotting disorders.
  • Various infectious diseases.
  • Endocrine system disorders.

Important! Most of the described pathological conditions, with the exception of age restrictions, are critical. In each of these cases, during the process of buttock surgery, situations may arise that threaten the client’s life. Some pathologies prolong rehabilitation time after gluteoplasty or increase the risk of complications.

Doctor's recommendations

Experts believe that, in general, gluteoplasty is a safe plastic surgery that allows you to quickly achieve results and acquire the desired shape. The risk of complications, of course, exists, but as a rule these are isolated cases and are most often caused by patients’ non-compliance with doctor’s recommendations.

However, you can reduce the risk by carefully choosing a clinic and a plastic surgeon who will perform the operation and following all the rules of the recovery period. In any case, you should not agree to install an implant under the skin; this most often leads to the capsule becoming overgrown with connective tissue.

What are the potential complications after surgery?

Each surgical intervention is a colossal burden on the body. Therefore, the development of the following complications after gluteoplasty is allowed:

  1. The appearance of pus at the site of the operation.
  2. Bruising.
  3. Formation of scar tissue.
  4. Accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the surgical area.
  5. Implant instability.
  6. Rejection of foreign bodies by the body.

Complications may occur after surgery, so a thorough examination of the body is carried out first.

To prevent the development of unwanted complications, you should take seriously the choice of a professional doctor who will install implants and give competent postoperative recommendations for further care. If you follow the surgeon's recommendations, you will quickly get into shape and begin to flaunt your appetizing buttocks.

Reviews with before and after photos

Well, now, as promised, I’ll tell you about the reviews of the girls I know. Gluteoplasty was performed by Rimmka and Ksyukha. So Rimmka did not become particularly frank, she simply said that she did not regret the money spent at all and was completely satisfied with the result. Truth admitted that the first few days the stitches hurt a lot and the ban on sleeping on my back was straining me.

But Ksyukha turned out to be more talkative. According to her, she experienced virtually no pain, either during the operation or during the recovery period. The stitches were healing well, and she quickly came to terms with the need to avoid showering and sleeping on her back. After all, beauty requires sacrifice. But this very beauty did not immediately begin to please.

For the first week, Ksyushka almost burst into tears, looking at her crippled butt, swollen and covered with bruises. But soon the result was fully appreciated by both herself and her boyfriend as excellent. Well, you can see for yourself by looking and comparing the before and after photos.

As you can see, the difference is stunning. Of course, I’m terribly jealous of her in a purely feminine way. Having such a seductive butt isn’t every woman’s dream. But I’ll tell you, my dears, honestly. I very much doubt that I will dare to repeat her feat. My buttocks are not so bad that I would subject myself to surgery and risk a bunch of complications. Still, I believe that gluteoplasty should be done if there are sufficiently compelling reasons, and not just on a whim.

I told you everything honestly, now decide for yourself: to be or not to be. Smack everyone!

Which technique should you choose?

Previously, we reviewed the most popular methods for buttock enlargement. We suggest you find out which method should be chosen for a specific problem.

If your gluteal muscles are a little sagging, a thread lift is recommended.

Which method to choose depends on the nature and severity of the problem

In cases where symmetry is disturbed, it is worth choosing medical implants. The plastic surgeon will select products individually for each gluteal hemisphere.

If you have a flat gluteal muscle, an excellent option would be implants that can give the necessary volume and shape.

If you are prone to allergies, it is recommended to correct your buttocks using your own fat.

If the patient is allergic, it is better to use your own fat to enlarge the buttocks

When you need to slightly correct your shape and tighten your muscles, you should opt for a Brazilian lift.
