Simultaneous plastic surgery of several zones at once

Today we would like to discuss a sensitive topic that not every woman dares to talk about directly. We will talk about intimate plastic surgery – aesthetics and comfort of the most delicate areas. About age-related and postpartum problems and the opportunity to have a long and vibrant sex life. A plastic surgeon with more than 25 years of practical experience, founder of the Studiomed aesthetic medicine clinic, Dmitry Krysin, will answer our questions about intimate correction.

– Dmitry Viktorovich, can intimate plastic surgery be called a popular type of correction?

– In general, intimate plastic surgery is not the most common plastic surgery. However, it is very popular. Every year the demand is growing, apparently because women themselves are becoming more open to new opportunities. Women want to feel good and look seductive from start to finish. And of course, I want to feel comfortable in terms of the health of all parts of the body, including those associated with the delicate feminine nature. Intimate plastic surgery is part of taking care of yourself, your physical and psychological well-being.

– What are the most common reasons for contacting? What worries women most?

– The range of problems in this matter is not very wide. Most often this is dissatisfaction with the way the external genitalia look. For example, the labia minora may be hypertrophied. They can stretch and become asymmetrical. Ideally, the labia majora should cover the labia minora. But this does not always happen and this causes not only aesthetic dissatisfaction, but also quite noticeable physical discomfort. It becomes uncomfortable to wear tight clothes, chafing and irritation occur. This is even a path to infectious lesions.

There is also hypertrophy, stretching, and sagging of the labia majora, which in the same way is not always pleasant and comfortable.

No less common is the problem of vaginal stretching after childbirth and drooping of its walls. This leads to problems in intimate life - it becomes more difficult for partners to get pleasure. During childbirth, ruptures of the mucous membrane often occur, after which stitches may be placed. The scars formed afterward often cause pain, discomfort, and feelings of intimate inferiority.

In addition, problems with urinary incontinence may occur. When any sneeze or laughter causes psychological stress and tangible physical discomfort. All this can also be effectively solved today with surgical methods. The main thing is not to be left alone with the problem and do not hesitate to consult a doctor.

– Why do such problems arise? And is this something inevitable?

– Fortunately, not everyone faces these troubles. Just like not everyone is concerned about the aesthetics of intimate places, if there is a feeling of comfort and it does not affect health in any way.

The causes of problems in the intimate area are quite obvious. This is a birth that doesn't always go perfectly. Age with its characteristic loss of skin elasticity, ptosis. This can also include hormonal imbalance. Well, plus, genetic factors, various congenital anomalies or injuries received during life.

– What types of intimate plastic surgery do you perform?

– Our clinic performs both aesthetic and physiological intimate correction (that is, correction for medical reasons, for example, prolapse of the walls, stretching of the vagina, prolapse of the bladder, urinary incontinence).

The most common interventions include labiaplasty (correction of the labia majora and minora), aimed at enlarging/reducing the labia, eliminating asymmetry and sagging.

Various types of colporrhaphy (vaginoplasty) are also in demand. Colporrhaphy allows you to narrow the entrance to the vagina, reduce its volume, strengthen the walls, remove rough scar tissue, and improve tone. Anterior colporrhaphy, by strengthening the walls of the urethra, helps to cope with mild urinary incontinence.

If the walls themselves retain good tone and elasticity, but there is a strong stretching of the entrance to the vagina. In this case, only correction of the size and strengthening of the vaginal ring can be carried out.

– How is rehabilitation after intimate plastic surgery?

– Usually, the woman should remain in the hospital under medical supervision for the first 24 hours. Although in some cases even one-day hospitalization is not required.

During the first days, it is advisable to treat yourself gently and observe bed rest. For two weeks after surgery, you should sit as little as possible. You should avoid serious physical activity, as well as saunas, solariums, and swimming pools for about a month. Sexual rest should be observed for 4-6 weeks after plastic surgery.

It is also advisable to wear special shapewear that supports the abdomen and pelvic floor muscles during the first months. And avoid using vaginal tampons.

Intimate plastic surgery is considered to be quite technically simple. Postoperative rehabilitation is easy to tolerate and allows the patient to quickly return to her normal lifestyle.

Plastic surgeon Dmitry Krysin

Jennifer Lopez and her buttocks are no longer the unattainable ideal that millions of women once tried in vain to achieve. Today, any patient of a plastic surgeon can become the owner of chic forms. Aesthetic surgery to enlarge the buttocks - gluteoplasty - allows you to create a rounded, elastic butt, tighten it and make it a prominent part of the figure. The growing popularity of buttock surgery is due to the fact that now women want to have a flawless body and look perfect in any bikini. Requests to create a rounded, firm butt should only be addressed to a professional who knows all the nuances of gluteoplasty. So we went for an interview with one of the best Moscow specialists in buttock correction - plastic surgeon Dmitry Viktorovich Krysin. The expert is a multiple winner of prestigious international and national awards in the field of beauty and health. Every year, beauty award experts celebrate the high achievements of Dr. Dmitry Krysin in the field of buttock augmentation.

Corr.: Dmitry Viktorovich, there is an opinion that buttock surgery is done only for aesthetic reasons. Is it true?

Dmitry Krysin: Most patients really decide to undergo gluteoplasty because they simply want to have a more beautiful curvaceous figure. However, there are also cases when more serious indications lead to correction of the buttocks. These include deformation of the buttocks after injuries, acquired and congenital pathologies. Patients come with problems of varying buttock volume and size - after accidents, abscesses, etc. The unattractive appearance of this part of the body may also be due to muscle atrophy. Plastic surgery successfully relieves patients of these defects, which most people find an acceptable “intent” of aesthetic surgery. So why not, with the help of the same operation, simply become more beautiful, get rid of complexes associated with appearance and reducing the quality of life?

Corr.: Is gluteoplasty a technically difficult operation? Are there any nuances that only an experienced surgeon knows about?

Dmitry Krysin: Any operation has its own subtleties, but not every doctor knows the difficult aspects of gluteoplasty. The operation is not as popular as breast augmentation, so knowledge about any specific difficulties is gained through practice and many years of experience. And among Russian doctors, let’s be honest, there are not many pros in buttock surgery or cruroplasty. Personally, in my practice, these two operations occupy a dominant position; most often I perform these types of corrections.

Some experts do not know that the incision should be made from the anus 4 cm higher, in the intergluteal fold!

One of the most important points that not all surgeons pay attention to is the location of the incision. Although this zone seems voluminous to patients, it is actually a place where blood vessels and the sciatic nerve accumulate, so you need to work in this area not only carefully, but with real knowledge of anatomy. Some experts do not know that it needs to be done from the anus 4 cm higher, in the intergluteal fold, so that after healing it becomes invisible. If they have access somewhere in another area, this clearly indicates that the doctor is insufficiently qualified.

The implant should be installed in the deepest layers, intermuscularly. Only this method will eliminate contouring and displacement and ensure reliable fixation in the tissues. And visually, with this method of implantation there will be no noticeable traces of the operation, except that everyone will note how beautiful your buttocks are.

For a successful outcome of gluteoplasty, it is important to place the sutures correctly. In the buttock area, due to poor blood supply and the location of the nerves, there is a high risk of postoperative suture divergence. In my work, I use special threads when stitching the incision, certain ointments during dressings, and thanks to this I eliminate this undesirable postoperative effect.

Corr.: What about implants? Are they something special? After all, if you think about it, breast implants are almost not subject to any pressure - they sit quietly in the bra, but on the buttocks we constantly sit or lie.

Dmitry Krysin: There is no need to worry and be afraid that buttock implants will burst or be damaged in any way. Manufacturers produce these endoprostheses, taking into account future loads, which include sitting, running, walking, etc. So after gluteoplasty, nothing will happen to the implants - they do not shrink, do not show through the surface of the skin, and do not deform. However, I note that contouring is still possible if your doctor installs your implants incorrectly.

I only work with round implants, since anatomical ones can turn over

I only work with round implants, since anatomical ones can turn over during the process. The selection of an endoprosthesis must be made carefully; the width and height of the projection must be taken into account. Contouring of round implants is only possible if they are selected incorrectly by the surgeon.

Corr.: Let’s say a patient has undergone buttock implantation, and everything looks beautiful on the outside. Regarding internal sensations, will the patient feel that there is something foreign in his body?

Dmitry Krysin: The final recovery of the body after buttock surgery is completed in a year. In the first 3-6 months of rehabilitation, patients may feel the implant when walking; for some, this sensation lasts throughout the year. But after this period, such sensitivity passes and the person can fully enjoy his new figure.

Corr.: Sometimes you can come across offers to lift the buttocks with threads. Does this really work?

Dmitry Krysin: Unfortunately, no. If the skin in the area of the face and chest is thin and can really be tightened somehow, then in the area of the buttocks the skin density is completely different, so you should not expect a satisfactory effect from thread lifting.

Corr.: Now clinics often advertise lipofilling of the buttocks. Many experts consider transplanting a patient’s own fat to be a successful solution for enlarging a particular part of the body. Do you support this position?

Dmitry Krysin: No, I am categorically against lipofilling, because I consider it inappropriate. The effect of fat grafting lasts only a few months, but the level of tissue trauma during surgery is high, as are the risks of possible complications. In addition, it is on the buttocks that there are certain areas - the subgluteal grooves and lateral recesses - where lipid tissue is absorbed most often and most of all, but it is these areas that determine the attractiveness of the buttocks. As a result, the transplanted fat cannot fill the space evenly, which leads to unsightly contours, as well as asymmetry, depressions, etc.

The fat transfer technique itself was known in the 90s, but even then surgeons rejected it as poor quality and not giving reliable and good results. However, at present, when there is an overabundance of plastic surgeons, many of the specialists are not able to carry out a qualified operation according to all the rules and are trying to pass off lipofilling as some kind of novelty, almost independently invented.

Corr.: I know for sure that after buttock augmentation with implants, injections cannot be given to this area. Are there any other rules that will need to be followed after gluteoplasty?

Dmitry Krysin: In addition to a lifelong ban on injections in this area, I tell patients to avoid active sports massage of the buttocks. Regular massage is not prohibited, but sports massage will have to be abandoned. Too much impact on the operated area can result in undesirable consequences.

The patient underwent unsuccessful gluteoplasty with another surgeon. Dmitry Krysin corrected the situation and created a beautiful buttock shape

Corr.: They say that abdominoplasty has the most difficult rehabilitation period. How does a patient recover after buttock replacement?

Dmitry Krysin: Painful sensations will be present, but they can be relieved with conventional painkillers, which the plastic surgeon will prescribe to the patient. The pain will persist for about a week. During the same period, it is forbidden to sleep on your back and sit on your buttocks. Tissue swelling will gradually resolve over 2-3 months, and for the same amount of time you will not be able to play sports, visit saunas, baths, swimming pools, or sunbathe.

These restrictions are relatively easy to follow; the main thing is to follow all the surgeon’s recommendations. But after rehabilitation, the patient will definitely have beautiful and lush buttocks, the positive impression of which will overshadow the minor difficulties of the rehabilitation period.

Walked, fell, woke up - scar

Few of us manage to live our lives without even minor damage, injuries, or cuts. And all of them, alas, leave their marks on the body. When I was a child, I fell on the asphalt while playing “catch up” and ended up with a scar on my knee “as a souvenir.” Unsuccessfully worked with a hammer or a hacksaw - again you will not be left without a mark for life.

When removing scars, plastic surgeons often have to deal with the consequences of the appearance of acne on the skin - they also leave their “craters,” sometimes in the most visible place. Surgical intervention also makes its “mite” - after it, noticeable scars and cicatrices remain in about 60 percent of cases.

Plastic surgery allows you to get rid of scars. But there are also non-surgical methods for correcting scars. The choice of technique depends on the type of scar or scar, its nature and characteristics.

From injections to laser resurfacing

In our plastic surgery clinic, scar removal has been successfully practiced for many years. One should immediately make a reservation: none of the modern methods can remove postoperative “marks” completely without leaving a trace. But an experienced doctor is quite capable of turning an unaesthetic protruding scar into a barely noticeable light strip on the skin.

As a rule, through surgical intervention in plastic surgery, “age-related” scars, which appeared on the patient several years ago, are corrected. One option: the rough part of the scar is removed, after which the surgeon sews the edges of the skin with a special cosmetic subcutaneous suture. This method is quite effective and is often used in plastic surgery to remove scars on the face.

When correcting sufficiently extensive scars, the autotransplantation method can be used, when the patient’s healthy skin from another part of the body is transplanted to the site of the scar.

Existing methods for removing scars in plastic surgery quite successfully make it possible to combine techniques used in cosmetology.

Mechanical grinding. It is recommended to carry out it no earlier than a year and a half after the formation of the scar. It is used for relatively small formations - for example, after removing an abscess on the face.

If the scar is not very prominent, but is noticeably different from the rest of the skin in color, you can use laser resurfacing.

Our specialists will tell you in more detail about methods for removing scars with the participation of plastic surgeons during a mandatory consultation that precedes the procedure itself.

Auxiliary methods for removing scars in plastic surgery include injections of special gels. Traditionally, a stable and very lasting result is obtained by using lipofilling, when the patient’s own fat is used instead of a gel.

A few days - and you are “in the ranks”

After removing scars using plastic surgery, as a rule, you can immediately return to your normal rhythm of life. The only condition is to protect the operated area at first and refrain from heavy physical activity.

And one last thing. Modern methods for correcting postoperative scars - and the Beauty Doctor clinic is no exception - most often involve a harmonious combination of surgical and cosmetic methods. This allows you to achieve the most effective results both in the short term and for a long time.
