Collost. Deep restorative therapy. Reviews from cosmetologists.

“It is impossible to turn back time” is a statement that is actively disputed in the 21st century. Arguments are sometimes convincing. COLLOST gel is one of the most serious statements in favor of the ability to change the time vector to the opposite one.

The domestically produced collagen preparation, as befits any “innovative” and “revolutionary” product, has caused heated discussions and generated many opinions and reviews. Let's talk about what is true in the fairy tale about eternal youth and what is marketing.

Taking the barrier: features of the COLLOST procedure

It is generally accepted that collagen cannot be rubbed into the skin, since collagen molecules, due to their large dimensions, are not able to overcome the epidermal barrier. Injections are another matter. With the help of injections, the protein can be transported into the dermis and “repair” collagen fibers that have become unusable.

Gel COLLOST is an injection preparation. Available in 1.5 ml syringes, ready for use. The active substance is highly purified type 1 collagen obtained from the skin of cattle. Active substance content – 7% and 15%. Each package of the drug contains allergy test probes.

Collostotherapy is a procedure that requires the participation of a specialist. Self-administration of the drug is strictly unacceptable.

2 weeks before the procedure, the cosmetologist performs a test by injecting a small amount of gel intradermally into the forearm area. In case of any abnormal reaction, intradermal injection of COLLOST is prohibited. If the test is successfully completed, correction or rejuvenation with the drug is possible.

How is the procedure done?

  • The drug is heated to 36-40 degrees to eliminate excess viscosity and facilitate the introduction of the material.
  • Before introducing the gel, the correction area is cleaned, treated with anesthetic cream and disinfected.
  • The gel is injected into the upper, middle or lower part of the dermis using a linear, point or combined method.
  • After completing the injection, the correction area is intensively massaged and kneaded to evenly distribute the gel in the tissues.
  • The next injection is possible in 2-3 weeks. The course may consist of 3-5 procedures. When correcting age-related changes, the procedure is carried out every six months.

Cosmetologists say: is there an alternative to COLLOST?

Collotherapy is called an alternative to plastic surgery, but is there an alternative to COLLOST? Yes, there are other fillers based on bovine collagen - Zirderm, Artecoll, Artefill.

However, among its competitors, KOLLOST stands out due to its maximally preserved collagen structure and high percentage of its content. What all collagen fillers have in common is the main drawback – the high allergenicity of the material, the introduction of which, even with a negative allergy test, can cause an allergic reaction.

Among the undoubted advantages is a pronounced effect. Where fillers with hyaluronic acid (the main competitors of collagen injections) are practically ineffective, COLLOST works with striking force.

Scars, scars, “floating oval” - the solution to these problems is difficult to delegate to “hyaluronic acid”, which, in essence, only retains moisture and temporarily increases the volume of tissues.

The more serious the scale of the problem, the more arguments in favor of using COLLOST, which not only improves dermal characteristics, but also stimulates the dermis to produce its own collagen.

Cosmetologists see a great future for preparations like COLLOST, but recognize the imperfections of existing proposals - in particular, high allergenicity and the inability to predict the reaction even after a test sample. However, beauty and sacrifice have always gone hand in hand in history, and the final decision “to inject or not to inject” is made by the patient.

What are post-acne and scar changes?

Post-acne is the general name for a whole complex of persistent secondary changes in skin tissues that arise due to acne that has not been treated for a long time.
Post-acne on the face can appear in the form of scars or dark spots that appear at the sites of rashes. These unpleasant marks are found on the forehead, chin, cheeks, nose, shoulders and chest. That is, in the same places where acne is usually localized. The deeper the skin was affected, the more inflammatory processes developed, the more pronounced the signs of post-acne will look.

Contraindications for use

Absolute contraindications include:

  • The presence of individual intolerance to the drug.
  • Chronic diseases in the acute stage.
  • Systemic and autoimmune diseases.
  • Tendency to form scar tissue.
  • Changes in blood clotting.

In addition to absolute ones, there are also relative contraindications, which include:

  • Pregnancy (lactation) period.
  • Taking certain medications (antiplatelet agents, anticoagulants, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, hormones, enzymes).
  • Inflammatory process on the skin.
  • Immediately after other cosmetic procedures.
  • Patients with a vegetarian diet who may have a protein allergy.

Indications and results of collagen injections

Collostotherapy (course of Collost injections) is carried out to correct (eliminate) signs of aging and aesthetic defects of the skin.

  • Flabbiness.
  • Wrinkles of varying severity and localization.
  • Gravitational ptosis.
  • Uneven relief and complexion.
  • Scars, including post-acne (acne scars).
  • Striae (stretch marks).

Injections can be given both in the presence of existing problems and for the purpose of their prevention. After all, the drug injected into the dermis activates the synthesis of its own collagen, which helps improve the quality of the skin. With regular procedures, she retains her youth and beauty until old age.

Relevance of procedures with the drug Collost

The basis of human skin is collagen, a natural protein with high mechanical strength and elasticity. Thanks to it, the skin of our face and body retains its elasticity, smoothness and does not sag.

The synthesis of our own collagen is a multi-stage and very energy-consuming process for our body. Its speed directly depends on physiological indicators, health status and lifestyle: age, hormonal levels, internal diseases, diet, etc. The quality of new collagen is significantly reduced with a deficiency of iron and vitamin C, and stressful situations accelerate its breakdown into amino acids.

A decrease in the level and quality of collagen leads to rapid aging of the skin of the face and body - it loses its elasticity, firmness, becomes wrinkled and sags under the force of natural gravity (so-called gravitational ptosis of facial tissues). The Collost procedure, an injection of collagen, will help eliminate this problem.

The principle of action of the drug Collost

The gel, biocompatible with the human body, demonstrates a unique principle of action, working in four directions at once:

  • creates an elastic-elastic matrix in the injection area;
  • stimulates the immune response of tissues;
  • activates the functions of fibroblasts responsible for the production of collagen;
  • accelerates the proliferation (division) of new skin cells and regeneration processes.

In fact, we are dealing with a full-fledged technology for radical tissue renewal, which is successfully used in many areas of modern medicine: gynecology, dermatology, ophthalmology, dentistry, traumatology, surgery, urology, etc. And Collost injections in cosmetology provide visible, prolonged (long-lasting) rejuvenation of the skin of the face and body.

How much does scar resurfacing cost?

The cost of laser scar removal usually depends on the size and complexity of the scar. You will find the prices of our clinic in the price list below.

Is it possible to perform a subcision procedure to remove atrophic scars on the face (post-acne), which are difficult to laser resurfacing? And what other methods are there to correct the defect?

- answers Dermatologist, cosmetologist, specialist in laser and injection techniques - Bagdasaryan A.A.:

Subcision is the cutting of the bottom of the scar with a thin needle, dense strands of connective tissue are cut and the bottom under the scar is filled with the drug.
We use the drug Collost (after a preliminary allergy test). It creates volume, smoothing the surface of the skin, and at the same time stimulates the production of its own collagen - the effect lasts for life. Not all scars are corrected by this method, only atrophic ones: retracted and rounded. During the consultation, the specialist will select the most suitable procedure. Go to the “Q&A” section

Collost. Deep restorative therapy. Reviews from cosmetologists.

Aging is a natural process that cannot be escaped. But, thanks to the achievements of modern cosmetology and medicine, it is possible not only to significantly delay the appearance of the first wrinkles, but also to eliminate those that have already appeared. One of these drugs is undoubtedly COLLOST gel, injectable type I (first) collagen, which helps fight not only the signs of aging, but also signs of post-acne and scars.

The appearance of the dermis largely depends on its hydration. Reduced moisture saturation of the skin leads to deterioration of its elasticity and loss of firmness, and can also lead to the formation of premature wrinkles.

The balance of skin hydration is largely determined by the state of the intercellular substance, which is 70-80% fibrous structures such as collagen and elastin, and 20-30% consists of hyaluronic acid, proteoglycans, glycoproteins, glycosaminoglycans. The combination of these interconnected polymers serves as a gel-like medium that ensures the normal functioning of the dermis, fills the space between collagen and elastin fibers and retains moisture. After 25 years, qualitative and quantitative changes in the composition of the intercellular space occur. Under the influence of a number of negative factors, the ability of the dermis to retain moisture deteriorates, which leads to visible deformations of the skin. From this age, the use of preparations based on hyaluronic acid is indicated, which binds and retains water molecules in the layers of the skin.

Also, with age, structural and functional changes in the fibrous component of the dermis begin to occur. The main reason for the occurrence of involutional changes in the skin is a shift in the balance between the synthesis and breakdown of collagen, as a result of which the skin turgor deteriorates, wrinkles appear, and the clarity of the lines of the oval of the face is lost.

Starting from the age of 35 (in patients with protein metabolism disorders and metabolic disorders of selenium, copper, zinc and silicon, possibly from the age of 30), the fibrous structures of the dermis are strengthened by intra- and interchain cross-links, which leads to metabolic inertia of collagen, slowing down its speed exchange and difficulty in migration of fibroblasts (cells capable of synthesizing the extracellular matrix, which forms the basis of the connective tissue fibers of the skin and provides mechanical support for cellular structures)

Collagen fibers form a kind of framework, the framework of the dermis, which ensures the strength of the skin. Collagen is involved in morphogenesis, differentiation, regeneration of fibroblasts, and also interacts between various components of the intercellular substance of the dermis. Injections of the COLLOST biomaterial will help replenish the supply and activate the synthesis of your own collagen.

COLLOST was developed on the basis of the Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after. N. F. Gamaleya. It is produced at the Russian site and is also registered in the European Union (received the CE mark in 2011). The COLLOST biomaterial production technology is patented and marked with a European quality certificate. The product has a Registration Certificate issued by ROSZDRAVNADZOR.

COLLOST is a unique biomaterial based on purified natural collagen, which is injected subcutaneously into the upper dermal layer. The collagen for the gel is purified using a patented technology, which includes many stages of processing, which makes it possible to obtain a high-tech collagen biomaterial that is completely safe for humans with a preserved native (three-helix) fiber structure, as close as possible to the collagen produced in the human dermis.

One of the advantages of COLLOST is its compatibility with preparations based on hyaluronic acid. Alternating biorevitalization/mesotherapy procedures with Collost gel injections demonstrates excellent results. It is also effective to use COLLOST gel as a stabilizer upon completion of the courses of procedures mentioned above.

COLLOST gel has also found application in contour plastic surgery. Fillers replenish the deficit in tissue volume, fill and “push” folds outward. The stabilized hyaluronic acid of the drug fills the missing, lost tissue, and thanks to COLLOST injections, the formed collagen fibers form a kind of dermal framework, ensuring the strength of the skin and maintaining the effect of the filler for a longer period. Based on the above, we can conclude that by providing a complex effect on the structural components of the dermis using injections of hyaluronic acid and COLLOST gel, you can achieve the best results of anti-aging therapy, which will last much longer
