Oxygen facial rejuvenation: properties and indications

What's the point

Have you probably noticed that in the fresh air (of course, at a comfortable temperature and good weather conditions) your skin becomes simply radiant?
This is not surprising - our body, which almost everyone spends most of the day in closed (and sometimes dusty) rooms, finally receives an additional flow of oxygen. And the cells literally come to life! Actually, this is the essence of the procedure - to nourish them with an irreplaceable element, which is the basis of oxidative processes, without which life is simply impossible.

This is done by applying a stream of compressed oxygen to the face. And to enhance its effectiveness, a cocktail of vitamins, amino acids and/or other substances beneficial to the skin is mixed into it.

What effect can you expect from mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is perceived by many as a rejuvenating procedure, and, indeed, it allows you to tighten the oval of the face, tighten the skin, smooth out wrinkles, and get rid of age spots.

But that's not all she's capable of.

Depending on what drugs are used for injection, the following effects can be achieved:

  • reduction of greasiness in oily skin;
  • fight against acne and post-acne;
  • narrowing of pores;
  • increasing skin elasticity;
  • elimination of double chin;
  • getting rid of circles and bags under the eyes;
  • treatment of rosacea.

In general, everything that provides a blooming and radiant appearance.

Mesotherapy is used not only for the skin of the face, neck and décolleté, but also on other parts of the body to get rid of cellulite, dandruff, and hair loss.

Effect on the skin

With the skillful selection of drugs, it is possible to obtain a double effect from the procedure. Oxygen itself has a powerful healing effect on the skin:

  • activates cellular respiration;
  • improves blood microcirculation;
  • stimulates metabolism;
  • accelerates regeneration processes;
  • increases immune defense;
  • creates an unfavorable environment for bacteria;
  • tones the skin.

In addition, the oxygen stream helps the beneficial components from the cocktails used with it penetrate into the deep layers of the epidermis and significantly influence its condition. This means that in this way you can get a lifting effect or solve some dermatological problems.

Indications

In principle, I would recommend that everyone who has no contraindications to this procedure undergo oxygen therapy from time to time. It is inexpensive, completely harmless, but gives excellent results. And at the same time it combines perfectly with other methods of rejuvenation, but more on that a little later.

Direct indications for oxygen mesotherapy are:

  • unhealthy complexion;
  • decreased skin turgor;
  • multiple small wrinkles;
  • signs of photoaging;
  • hyperpigmentation;
  • dryness and flaking of the skin;
  • signs of its decline;
  • too enlarged pores;
  • non-inflammatory acne;
  • bruises and bags under the eyes;
  • puffiness of the face;
  • fuzzy contours of an oval.

Of course, one procedure is not enough for noticeable improvements. You will have to complete a course of at least three sessions. But after the first one you can see how the skin, hungry for life-giving substances, comes to life.

Indications for the procedure

Oxygen lifting immediately after use significantly improves the condition of the skin. The secret of instant transformation is that the face is not supplied with pure oxygen, but with a special serum, which contains a whole range of valuable nutrients: vitamins, amino acids, microelements, as well as a strong moisturizing component - hyaluronic acid. Therefore, at the same time, not only does the face refresh, but also actively nourishes it while simultaneously smoothing out wrinkles.

Oxygen rejuvenation quickly and effectively solves the following problems:

  • loss of skin firmness and elasticity;
  • lethargy, sallow complexion;
  • shallow pigmentation;
  • age-related changes;
  • effects of stress and fatigue;
  • dry and lifeless skin;
  • non-inflamed pimples and traces of them.

The procedure is an excellent supportive therapy during recovery after plastic surgery. In a good clinic, the doctor selects the composition of the serum individually, depending on the patient’s age, skin condition and existing defects.

Advantages and disadvantages

I quite often recommend this technique to my clients, since it has obvious advantages:

  • painlessness and comfort;
  • minimal contraindications;
  • lack of rehabilitation period;
  • simplicity and speed of its implementation;
  • versatility and all-season use;
  • there are no risks or side effects.

Plus, the influence of the human factor is practically eliminated, since it is performed on modern electronically equipped equipment that regulates the pressure and intensity of the jet. And all this at a very reasonable cost.

Preparation and execution

In principle, in the absence of contraindications, the presence of which is clarified by the doctor in a preliminary conversation, the oxygen lifting procedure can be performed immediately after the consultation. But an experienced doctor always pays attention to the condition of the skin. If it is severely neglected, some preparation may be required.

Before the procedure

If you have a lot of blackheads, non-inflammatory acne and simply too oily skin, it is useful to do a superficial acid peel a few days before oxygen mesotherapy. It will cleanse the pores, loosen the dense layer of keratinized epidermal cells and allow the beneficial substances from the medicinal cocktails to penetrate to a greater depth.

The procedure is not performed on severely inflamed and damaged skin. Therefore, you should not use harsh scrubs, especially stone scrubs, 2-3 days before the procedure, squeeze out pimples, and for men, shave a day before the procedure.

After tanning and visiting a solarium, 5-7 days should also pass so that the skin has time to recover a little.

Execution technique

Technically, everything looks very simple, and the whole process takes no more than half an hour:

  • the patient is placed on the couch;
  • hair is tucked under a bandage or cap;
  • perform a thorough make-up removal;
  • treat the face with a degreasing lotion with a low concentration of fruit acids;
  • the selected meso cocktail is applied to the skin;
  • their surface is treated with a stream of compressed oxygen under a pressure of about 2 atmospheres;
  • apply a cream suitable for your skin type.

That's all. You can immediately enjoy your refreshed face and go about your business or work.

I usually ask clients to refrain from applying decorative cosmetics for at least two hours after the procedure, so that the skin has time to “breathe” and be saturated with beneficial ingredients without chemical impurities.

How is the mesotherapy procedure performed?

Mesotherapy is a procedure performed in a cosmetologist's office. It is usually carried out following the following algorithm:

  1. The doctor treats the patient's skin with a disinfectant composition.
  2. In some cases, local anesthesia is also used, but this issue is decided individually.
  3. The skin is “pricked” with the selected cocktail.
  4. The treated area is re-disinfected, and in some cases the doctor may apply a soothing mask.

The entire procedure takes about half a century, although much depends on the area of the treated area, the sensitivity of the patient and other factors. After the procedure, it is recommended to rest a little.

Contraindications

Usually there is a long list of contraindications for any hardware procedure. But not this one. Moreover, great news for expectant mothers - this technique is allowed for them and is very useful. The only limitation is that for pregnant and lactating women, you must especially carefully choose a meso-cocktail or use pure oxygen.

But the procedure cannot be performed if the integrity of the skin is compromised or if there are serious dermatological problems:

  • eczema;
  • ulcers;
  • inflamed acne;
  • erosions and ulcers;
  • aggravated dermatitis;
  • fungal diseases.

It is not recommended for severe peeling of the skin. In this case, it must first be eliminated by other methods.

Contraindications and results

Another significant advantage of oxygen therapy is the almost complete absence of contraindications. It has no age restrictions and can be performed on reinforced faces and with silicone implants. Oxygen rejuvenation should be done with caution for those who have overly sensitive skin. Absolute contraindications are skin injuries and diseases:

  • purulent rashes and acne;
  • atopic dermatitis;
  • severe peeling;
  • fungal diseases.

Oxygen rejuvenation is one of the few hardware procedures that can be performed even during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Therefore, a young mother tired of sleepless nights can quickly regain her freshness and beauty with the help of this simple and pleasant procedure.

Feedback and results from clients indicate that most of them are very pleased with their updated faces. The effect of completing the course with regular and proper home care lasts for six months. Instant changes in the condition of the skin are clearly visible in the photo before and after oxygen rejuvenation. A tired and dull face is completely transformed in just one session and looks radiant and fresh.

Oxygen mask

High-quality home skin care after the procedure helps to significantly prolong the results of the procedure. To do this, you can use professional preparations or prepare a mask that saturates the skin with oxygen yourself at home.

Pour a tablespoon of white cosmetic clay with two teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide. Mix well until the clay begins to foam. Thicken the mask slightly with oatmeal or rice flour and apply an even layer to previously cleansed skin.

If desired, you can add a few drops of essential oil. Leave for 10-15 minutes and rinse with warm water without soap. Apply moisturizer. Do it 1-2 times a week.

How is oxygen lifting done?

The procedure is performed without any preliminary preparation and anesthesia at any time convenient for the patient. Before starting, the doctor carefully examines the skin and selects the necessary drug. Oxygen lifting is performed in several stages and takes 30-40 minutes.

  1. The face is thoroughly cleansed of sebum and cosmetic residues.
  2. Light exfoliation is performed using low concentration fruit acids.
  3. The exfoliant is neutralized and the alkaline balance of the skin is restored.
  4. If necessary, additional cleaning is performed.
  5. A vitamin-amino acid cocktail selected for the given skin is applied to the face.
  6. The skin is treated with pure oxygen supplied under pressure.
  7. Recommendations for home care are given.

Proper home care is very important to consolidate the result. The doctor will recommend one of the lines of oxygen cosmetics, the use of which will maintain the saturation of the skin with oxygen. Also, most creams recommended for home use contain hyaluronic acid, which maintains moisture and freshness of the skin.

Summing up

According to reviews from my clients who completed a course of 3-5 procedures, the combination of oxygen with meso-cocktails can really quickly rejuvenate the skin. Moreover, if you use high-quality oxygen cosmetics at home in between sessions, you can maintain the results for up to one and a half years. Of course, with aging skin it will last less, but at least for six months.

The price for one session in metropolitan clinics starts from 3,000 rubles, in small cities - almost half that. The recommended course duration is 3-5 procedures with an interval of 10-14 days. Oxygen rejuvenation can be alternated with microcurrents, fractional laser, vacuum or manual massage. Preliminary ultrasonic cleaning will significantly enhance the result.
