Medicine to help cosmetology: face mask with dimexide

What is Dimexide used for?

The drug is prescribed for problems with the functioning of the musculoskeletal system. In addition, in case of subcutaneous damage to soft tissues, Dimexide actively relieves the inflammatory process. The ability of the drug to enhance the effect of other drugs is often used by doctors in antibacterial therapy. Direct indications for prescribing Dimexide are:

  • bursitis;
  • arthrosis;
  • arthritis;
  • radiculitis;
  • gout;
  • osteochondrosis;
  • pain syndrome due to intervertebral hernia;
  • scleroderma;
  • skin ulcers;
  • swelling accompanied by pain;
  • synovitis

In addition to the above problems, Dimexide is also used in other areas, including cosmetology.

Advantages and disadvantages

Objectively, the use of Dimexide in cosmetology has both pros and cons. The advantages include the fact that the drug:

  • helps the substances used with it penetrate deeper into the tissues;
  • provides effective stimulation of metabolic and regenerative processes in the skin and prolongation of its youth;
  • successfully fights skin rashes and inflammations, helps heal microcracks;
  • It is sold in pharmacies without a doctor’s prescription and is quite inexpensive: from 32 rubles (for 100 ml of 99% concentrate for solutions) to 158 rubles (for 30 ml of 25% gel).

At the same time, Dimexide:

  • is not a means for skin rejuvenation, but simply makes the use of such products more effective (or not if the partner component is able to penetrate into the deep layers of the skin without the help of a “conductor”);
  • highly toxic and can cause allergic reactions and side effects;
  • has an extensive list of contraindications that should be taken seriously;
  • interacts with other medications, enhancing the effect of ethanol (alcohol inhibits the elimination of the drug) and insulin (with long-term use of the drug, the dose of insulin is reduced), acetylsalicylic acid, butadione, digitalis preparations, quinidine, nitroglycerin, antibiotics (Streptomycin, Monomycin, etc.), which, of course, also needs to be taken into account when using it;
  • may cause garlicky breath.

How to dilute Dimexide for hair

As a result of the fact that Dimexide was seen as a kind of catalyst for some local drugs, which quickly penetrated the cellular barrier deep into the tissues, Dimexide began to be used as part of cosmetic masks.

In particular, by mixing a teaspoon of the substance concentrate with essential oils, lemon juice, aloe extract and honey, you get an effective hair mask. Its regular use relieves hair from brittleness, gives rich shine and restores natural growth. And if you mix a teaspoon of Dimexide with ground red pepper and apply it to the scalp, holding for 15 minutes, you can wake up dormant bulbs, resulting in thicker curls.

Application specifics

Dimexide is a medicine and has a number of serious contraindications indicated in the attached instructions. If you are pregnant and breastfeeding, have cardiovascular diseases, glaucoma and cataracts, skin hypersensitivity, and are under 12 years of age, you do not need to risk your own condition.

An allergy test should be performed one day before the cosmetic procedure. The medication solution is applied to the wrist or the inside of the elbow for 15 minutes and observe the skin reaction. Any rash, redness, burning sensation - and it is better to avoid using the mask.

Even if health does not prevent home experiments, the drug is specific and has some features. The diluted concentrate is applied only to cleansed and preferably steamed skin; slight tingling may occur.

After the exposure time has expired (usually 20 minutes, but not exceeding 40), the mask is carefully removed and the face is washed with warm water. In order not to accidentally dry out the epidermis due to such influences, at the last stage a regular moisturizer is applied.

Nice application

You can easily regain your youth using a starch face mask instead of Botox.

A slight redness after the procedure is a normal reaction, so it is better to use the composition at night or on a day off.

An undoubted advantage is compatibility with any type of face. Still, it must be remembered that the effects of the medicine are intense, so the sensitive area around the eyes is not suitable for testing.

How to dilute Dimexide for boils

Inflammation of the skin glands, which develop into boils, is often accompanied by a local increase in temperature and tension on the skin surface. In order to relieve pain and reduce tissue tension due to growing inflammation, dilute Dimexide in warm water in the proportion of 1 ml of concentrate per 10 ml of clean water. Cotton pads are soaked in the resulting solution and applied to the boils. It is important not to rub, rub, or knead an unruptured boil. Safe use is considered to be simply applying a moistened swab to the inflamed area.

How to dilute Dimexide for heel spurs

The situation with inflammation of the heel, called a heel spur, can be resolved not only through surgery. In some situations, a conservative method using Dimexide may help. It is important to begin treatment at the first signs of inflammation in order to prevent the disease from entering an irreversible phase when the help of a surgeon is required. For spurs, use a concentration of Dimexide diluted in water in a one to one ratio. Taking 20 ml of the drug you need to add 20 ml of water.

For severe pain, novocaine 2% is added to the solution in a volume equal to the amount of Dimexide and water. A cloth is moistened in the resulting liquid and placed on the sore spot. The compress is covered with polyethylene and a wool sock is put on.

Dimexide for sinusitis

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the maxillary sinuses, accompanied by an accumulation of mucus pressing on the nasal cartilage from the inside. The disease may be accompanied by redness of the skin over the sinuses, as well as an increase in temperature, which is localized in the area of the inflammatory process. Dimexide will help relieve swelling of the mucous membranes and reduce inflammation in the nasal passages. It is mixed with saline solution in a ratio of 1:3.

You can also add aloe juice or vasoconstrictor nasal drops, for example, naphthyzine or phenylephrine. After moistening cotton swabs in the resulting solution, they are inserted into each nasal passage and kept in this position for up to 20 minutes. This treatment can be repeated for up to 7 days in a row.

Cosmetology at home

The main indications for the use of various mixtures with a medicinal product are problematic and aging skin. In case of real presence of deficiencies, the procedures are carried out three times a week, and as a preventive measure - once every 7 days. A one-time use of the composition does not make sense; you need to complete a course of up to 8–10 sessions, after which you take a break for at least a month.

Even in small doses, if it comes into contact with the mucous membrane, the medication can cause intoxication. Be careful when preparing the solution and follow basic safety standards.

Result with solcoseryl

Mask recipes are not very complicated, however, they require care and strict adherence to the instructions.

Option 1. Anti-aging with solcoseryl. The last drug is an ointment that improves cell regeneration. The process consists of two stages: in the first, the face is wiped with a dimexide solution, in the second, a thick layer of ointment is applied.

For the next half hour, which is needed for the mask, the face is moistened with water (using a spray bottle or a cotton swab) so that a crust does not form. After all manipulations, the product is removed with a disc, and the face is thoroughly washed with warm water.

Option 2. For wrinkles. The drug solution is combined with liquid vitamins A and E in proportions 2:1:1. Then the same amount of sour cream and white clay is added to the consistency of liquid porridge. This mixture can remain on the skin for 30–40 minutes, after which it is washed off.

The concentrate is not mixed with oils, since dimexide does not dissolve in them. The use of extracts is possible only after removing the mask.

Option 3. For acne. To prevent problems, it will be enough to use a solution of the medicine instead of a tonic; in case of pronounced inflammation, you can make a more concentrated mixture (1 part of the medicine to 5 parts of water) and burn the pimples with it.

Adverse reactions

The use of Dimexide, like any other drug, can lead to unpleasant side reactions. Among them:

  • redness of skin areas;
  • burning in the area of application;
  • allergic reactions, manifested by nasal congestion, drainage from the eyes, bronchospasm and rhinitis;
  • skin pigmentation;
  • nausea;
  • muscle weakness;
  • dizziness;

At the first signs of illness as a result of using Dimexide, you should definitely stop therapy and discuss what happened with your doctor.

Precautionary measures

Dimexide is a drug with a pronounced effect. Before using it, it is necessary to conduct testing to exclude the occurrence of allergic reactions and irritation. A small amount of the solution is applied to the elbow or wrist and the reaction of the skin is assessed. Redness, itching and burning indicate a hypersensitivity reaction. If these symptoms occur, the drug should not be used.

Experts emphasize that Dimexide is not a drug for daily use for a long time. The course of procedures includes 1 session per week for a maximum of 2 months. After 4-5 weeks, the course of procedures can be repeated.

Before using the drug for the first time, you should carefully study the instructions, paying attention to contraindications. Before using the product, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist or cosmetologist.

Attention! Do not allow the pure solution to penetrate the skin surfaces to prevent burns or the development of dermatitis. The medicine is not intended for internal use.
